oh i definitely agree with the production player in terms of superbowl win, but as far as durability goes, 45% definitely makes a strong case in favor of gore's knee being healthy and strong...if it wasn't strong he would have never made it through the year given his work load (see also: Culpepper early this year)

in today's NFL with the greatly expanded size of the players in the last generation(~20 years)
any back's knees can become tough as paper in a single play
as a GM I'd rather invest in a WR
