How many of you have that? I'm thinking of growing my hair out and i have no idea how to tell the barber to cut it. I don't know the name of it either. I'm sure you've seen it, i has like a mini-fade and then its spiked out using wax. Anyone know what i'm talking about, i've looked for pictures but i can't find any?

look thru maxim, they are sure to have an add in their magazine for their hair highlite product. i think you're lookin for one of those looks. bring 'em a picture and honestly, you'd probably be better off going to a stylist than a barber for this one. check out some girly place to get your fade on....

Bringing a picture is always the best way to get the right type of cut. Also go somewhere modern otherwise you'll end up looking like gomer pile. Bedhead products are what actually makes the look besides the cut. Great stuff.
 
i dont know what kind of hair you have right now, but if it is relatively short, let it grow some and just pick up some paste/pomade and run it through and spike it up. thats about it.
 
I have the spiky messy look. Chix dig it. Put a straightner on it,, it helps it stay up. I use wax or ice paste.
I'll see if I can get a pic.

Get the tips bleached or darken depending on what color you have! it looks pimp!

the hair cut your looking for is a taper with a blow out make the sides a one and the taper a low taper :) ITS A YOUNGER NEW YORK THING...... I CANT STAND IT
 
dying the tips is very 2 yrs ago... don't use pomade, use a hard wax with very low shine. I like "molding clay" from Nolita. Also, control maniac from SexyHair products works well but has a bit more shine to it.
 
Spikey hair look

Tell your barber to use the clippers on the bottom side of your hair and start off with nothing less than a #3. Anything shorter than that is not going to look good with that style cut. Once he has cut the bottom side tell him to blend in the sides to the top, but leave enough hair on the sides to be able to start spikes. You should also tell him to razor cut the top or your hair. (he will know what you are talking about) If he doesn't know, then you need to get another barber. The razor cut will leave a texture in your hair that will allow it to spike really well. Then go and get you a tube of "Ice Spiker" it is made by a company called Joico. It is the best shit on the market right now for spikey hair.

i had mine buzzed about 2 months ago to a 1/4 inch and just let it grow out naturally, about 2-3 more weeks till its perfect length. and tips are gay, stay one color. i have lighter skin so i have mine bleached almost platinum blonde.
 
The best stuff to spike your hair or give it the messy look is something by redken called rewind. My hairdresser used it on me one day and thats the only thing I have used since. It has the consistency of toothpaste.
 
thats the cut i have...i had my hair short forever...someone said it before...ask for a blow out on the sides, faded(or tapered) up...i like a little longer than finger length on top...like if he cuts it with scissors, put his finger straight across, and a lil longer than that... please dont dye it...thats real flakey...the tip thing...im REAL italian looking to begin with, so it does kinda give the impression im trying real hard to look like a gangster dego!
 
k, lets go over this kiddies. NEVER GET YOUR HAIR CUT WITH ANYTHING BUT SCISSORS. Unless you are military personnel, any cut with clippers is pretty much a fashion no no. There are FEW exceptions to the rule. Plus, when u pay for a cut, don't you want them to put some time into it? If you want your hair messy/spikey definitely have them razor cut it. There is more variation in the length and as a result the hair naturally lays in a more dishevelled pattern.
 
yo girl, im sayin! thats how we all wear our hair....the fade! the blowout!

i go a lil longer than most guys. i keep it around a 2/3 on the low and i rock wing tips on the side for the 3 cut. then i keep up top a lil longer than most. i use aquage paste and ice scuplting glue.

my hair is tighter than virgin cunt on prom night!

Its made its way down to the Philly / NJ area. I feel like I am watching an f'ing Anime Cartoon with those dumb ass hair cuts.
