Test. Cyp. Cycle questions..

Hey guys first off, thanks for taking the time to help me with this.

I've been doing my research on a test cyp. / deca cycle for about 4 months now, and finally went through and picked up everything i needed about a month ago.

Now I'm well aware that Test C. is a slow acting ester, and visible results aren't usually noticeable until weeks 4-6, but after a month of running 450mg of test and kick starting it with 300mg of deca a week, I can honestly say i don't feel much stronger. I have only gained about 8lbs to date, and im sure that's water weight and maybe a couple pounds of fat due to the fact i've been practically shoveling good clean carbs, protein, and fats down.

I'm doing this by the book, but I am having my doubts. I'm not much stronger, i'm not any more aggressive, no acne, no test flu at all when i started. I had a week in there where my libido went crazy, and now it's seemed to have simmered down. My nuts have definitely shrunk, and my chest is puffy, but honestly that's all i've really gotten out of this so far.

Has anybody had any similar experiences? I got the gear from a reliable guy that goes to my gym. I work with his wife, and we all are on pretty good terms. It was his own personal stuff that he had on hand, all still brand new and sealed up, so im sure the gear isnt bunk. Im just frustrated because I've put a lot of effort into making sure that i'm doing this right, and I'd hate to think something went wrong somewhere. Am I expecting too much too soon? I know it takes time, but DAMN. I'd greatly appreciate any help or personal opinions on whats going on here.

Stats:

Age: 21
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 185lbs
BF: 12%

Patience in about another 2 weeks everything will be kicking in so keep pounding those weights and eating clean.

RADAR

Radar is right, give it time. I'm on my 12th and final week of cyp and I noticed HUGE differences from week 4 and beyond. To date I have gained about 30 pounds. I ate clean and did everything by the books just like you. I ate perfect, every 2 hours no matter what and haven't missed a meal or a training session in 12 weeks. Don't worry about that fat, because you need it to grow. IMO 450 mgs isn't a big dosage, but enough to get the job done. Goodluck with your journey.

GnH

are you eating like it's your new full time job? Have you doubled your protein intake and calories? Or, are you still eating like a 12 year old girl scout?

You can take all the gear you want, but you aren't going to grow without a lot of food. If you're not taking in at least 2 grams protein per lb. of body weight, you're not eating to grow. From the looks of your stats, you don't really understand this all yet. Too bad you already started your cycle. You could've put on another 20-40 lbs in a year or so naturally...then started cycling steroids.

Yes, I am. When i started lifting, I was 16 and only 140lbs. Same height. I realize that over a post I may come off as someone who's "jumping the gun" and just going right to gear, but IMO I've done my research, gone through numerous clean bulks and cuts, and am ready to move on. I do eat like a horse, and im very familiar with the correct nutritional intake and macro-nutrients, but I have a hardcore ectomorph frame and a metabolism to match, and putting on any mass at all is near impossible, even at 4,000k a day without being on a cycle.

I understand how this looks do you, you've obviously more experience in this department than i do, but I'm familiar with my body, and at the rate I put on mass, this is the route i've chosen to take.

Guns and hoses, you said you thought 450 might be too low. Would it be a bad idea to up the dosage mid-cycle? maybe 600mg? split 2 x 300mg per week?

Thank you for the feedback everyone, it's greatly appreciated

I'm much in the same boat...or at least I used to be. And I'm telling you that 4000 cals/day is maintenance for me. I wouldn't gain off that either. So how about protein? You getting 400-500 grams a day? How's your training?

See, every 6'1" 185lbs 12% bodyfat guy comes here with the same story. "Been working out HARD for YEARS and YEARS. Been eating a TON of food. Been doing EVERYTHING right for years now...and I'm not gaining!"

Bullshit! There's just no way. Sorry, but as well as you think you know your body at the tender young age of 21...you just don't. You have not got this figured out at all. Not your diet, not your training. You've probably been doing the same things for the past 5 years now and seeing little to no results. Do you keep detailed journals of your diet and training? I'd bet you don't.

Not trying to be a dick (that just comes naturally :)), but really...in ten years here, I've seen countless cases just like yours. Same story over and over. I've broken it down so many times and they're all the same. No one is really eating like they think they are, they're not training as hard as they think they are. They just want results and want it now, and they don't want to work any harder than they have been the past 5 years (seeing no results). It's like a broken record.

I see what your saying, really, I do. I completely agree, there's ALOT of things i could have done significantly better, in every department, and that there's tons of tall, lanky people like me that throw out the same reasons. But if you really have been in the same boat in the past like you say you have, then you can understand that after numerous workout changes, plateu breakers, different diet scheme's, training partners, not even mentioning going through the effort to make sure im doing ALL my exercises with proper technique, that maybe id be curious about this route it hopes that it would yield better results. My story isn't as your portraying it. I never said that i haven't gained. Sure, i have. A lot. I've gained 45lbs since i started lifting, and im happy with my progress, and i hold that as evidence that i DO know what i'm doing to a reasonable extent. For you to come in and tell me i'm completely ignorant of what i'm doing and you've met countless others like me is unfair, just as unfair as it would be for me to say your probably just some arrogant lethargic pudge that i see on every other forum, (which im sure your not, just an example).

I know your intentions are good. Yes, i know this is a quick route around the hard work i have been putting out. I'm aware of that, your completely right. It's dangerous, and if not done right, can really mess me up. I've done my homework. But personally, i dont feel like being 30 by the time i finally achieve the physique i have been working for. And since im already almost halfway done with the one cycle i plan on doing, either lend credible advice which i know someone of your stature is capable of, or please leave room for the people who are willing to.

i don't see much problem with your cycle so far, 8 pounds is not bad, if you finish your cycle with 16-18 pounds and keep 9 clean muscle pounds that will be really good, you don't want 16 pounds of some muscle and a lot of fat, it takes time, just work as hard a humanly possible and good things will come.

Your on track mate just train and eat .

i agree with you on the most part.....but it seems for me i started gear when i was 19 i eat whatever i wanted and took a bunch of gear and got big, lean and super strong and the same for my brother.....granted i have good genetics, was a personal trainer and had a bodybuilder mentor.... i realize your just trying to be a good mentor and looking out for the kid and im sure most cases poeple have to do it perfectly to get great gains and you have seen alot of bull shit on here.....but this isnt the case for everyone and you come off like it is but i could be wrong....i do now eat very good because im older and experienced and my gains are better then when i was younger but when i was young i didnt have to eat like that to get great gains and i still dont its just that my gains wont be as good
