Tendonitis help

Im in the same boat bro. My right arm has been givin me fits for 5 months now. I cant shake it. Time off looks like the only option to relieve the pain, however I feel if I take that time off im gonna shrink like crazy... so I have refused to quit as of yet at least.

Its really pissing me off too because I just cant get my arms as big as they should be because I cant do any REAL curls. I can do a few sets with 45's, and sometimes get a few sets in with 60's before my right arm starts hurting too bad and I cant go any more. It fuckin blows. My upper body currently looks as best as it ever has, with the exception of my god damn biceps... grrrrr :worried: :worried: :worried:

I used a acupunturist last year with really good success after only six treatments. It completly went away within a few weeks after the sixth treatment. Give it a try, you might be surprised!

If you do the cortisone shot, you should still rest it for 4-6 wks, otherwise the cortisone can dull the pain and make you feel all is OK but it actually also weaknes the tendon and if you keep liftin heavy you could do more damage or even tear the tendon, got to suck it up and let it heal man.......

Ice your arm for 20 minutes 2x a day, and take large amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids - 3-5 grams per day. Don't arm curl or lat pull downs - basically anything that will stress your forearms. It sucks, and it's going to be there for the next 3 months or so. I've been through this a lot and this is the only way to heal it - by doing what the doctor recommends! Lay off the arms for a while..you'll recover and then you'll lift hard and strong again!
