Tendonitis...Help!!!

I've been experiencing a lot of pain in my left inner forearm/elbow area.
I saw a chiropractor and he informed me that I had developed tendonitis.
I think I brought this on because of the way I was do dumbell bench presses.
When I finish my sets, I try to lower the weights slowly to the ground while I'm still laying on the bench, cause I don't want them crashing to the ground. (everybody in the gym always frowns on that).
I can't sit back up, cause I always go to failure, and I never have an opportunity to have a spotter.
Anyways, I can't even do 30lb curls with my left arm now.
Its been over 2 months and I'm gettin pissed off that its not getting any better.
Are there any supplements/or gear that will help this shit get better?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys
Keep pumped
Thor.

I had bicep tendonitis for a long time last year. It took me a while to get over it. Most people actually get it from doing squats. When doing squats, assuming that you do them, move your hands out as far on the bar as you can to help take the stress off of your bic tendons.

Ibuprofen, 600mg, 3x per day for 14 days (do NOT miss a dose)
Icy Hot on the area pre workout (lots)
Careful on your flat pressing work, straighten your wrists
LIGHT curls if any (and do them ED or EOD for AR work)

What other exercises hurt when you do them?

good advice. just stay away from anything that causes pain, and you should get better. good luck.

i know this is a different body part but i had tendonitis in me knee from too much soccer, and sprinting it virtually ruined my career and im only 19 now, thats why ive gone in pursuit of bodybuilding. i took a year off soccer and had special physio treatment. the team doctor thought it was sorted so did i then the twinges came back, it virtually ruined my pace. just be careful mate
