tendon pain during stretch?

Thanks for the reply, I do those before every workout. Excellent thing to do, but it still hurts

EDIT: so i found this on wikipedia: Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITBS or ITBFS, for Iliotibial Band Friction Syndrome[1]) is a common thigh injury generally associated with running. Additionally it can also be caused by biking, hiking or weight-lifting (especially squats).
