Taking Iron?

How many of you take iron durning your period?

Seems like latly I have to take some everyday now,
Or I feel ran down.

I've had low iron in the past but haven't had it checked lately. I love spinach and eat it fairly often, it's a great natural source of iron. The prescription iron pills used to make me constipated...yuck.

Well I go to the doctor Friday morning to get a check up...im bleeding some in between periods..I think I probably need iron pills because I have been so tired the past few days....I am already anemic from the crohns disease I have, so I guess I should take iron pills anyway..but ive been so tired. wish me luck girls

It's good your going to get this checked..

I've been taking iron now for a month.. Usually it was just durning my periods
and then I would quit.. Cause of what Mrs. Puddles said.. But now that I've been taking it straight for a month. I actually feel a lot better..

I don't think we women realize how important it is to keep our iron levels up..

Klueles let us know what the dr. says..
Good Luck Sweetie..

Pamela :)

Mom keeps fussing at me to take Iron when I am on my period. She actually wants me to take it regularly, but I suck at taking vitamins, so they just sit in my medicine cabinet. lol.

I was diagnosed with very low iron at about age 15 and I was advised by my gyno to eat more iron rich foods since he didnt believe in supplements. I started eating a lot of spinach (which I still do) and was told several months later that my iron was like extraordinarily high.
