Taking Ambien while on Anavar

Hey all, I've been a lurker for quite a while and always find the info on this site to be very useful.

Does anybody know if it's a bad idea to take Ambien while on Anavar? I'm prescribed Ambien by my doc and don't take it everyday, but I do take it a few times per month. I figured I would ask incase anybody knows if it's something I should avoid, etc...

Ambien (zopidem) is a hypnotic drug used as a sleep aid that is supposedly non-addictive. It doesn't have many drug interactions and the major side-effects you need to be aware of are drowsiness and sometimes dizziness and balance problems and visual changes. The latter symptoms are important bc they can mess up your lifts if you aren't expecting them (particularly squats). Also, Ambien rarely causes transient visual probs that can get confused with Clomid sides during PCT.

You're straight. Just get 7-8 hours sleep when you take it (actually you should rest up every night). I had insomnia during a few cycles, especially while on tren and had to get something from the doc to help me sleep and tthat's what I was given.

BC is right on though........I don't smoke alot of weed because it fucks with cardio, but brownies? OMG, you get this full body relaxation that puts you to sleep like a baby.......and you have ZERO issues the next day.......unlike the laboratory shit they push on us constantly. Give it another 10-15 years and you'll either be pissed off or remain as dumb as a stump like most. Everybody wants a pill to fix everything nowadays. To the OP: The Indica variety of cannabis, with its darker, shorter leaves typically gives a very relaxing, "stony" high that is very conducive to a good night's sleep. Or so I hear.

Now, to answer your question...I'd recommend GHB as an Ambien alternative, but that would be irresponsible of me. Plus I don't think the mods like GHB being discussed here period-especially when I hear possession carries a mandatory 7 yr minimum in some states. If you passed high school chemistry, GHB can easily be made at home. In fact, making a great tasting pecan pie requires more skill.

Anyways back to the topic. Ambien is addictive but only a few times a month is not bad. anavr and ambien will not interact and if it helps you sleep take it. I take melatonin to help me sleep I take anywhere from 1-3 mg on nights i cant get to sleep.

Weed is as much a drug as alcohol. The only reason it is not legal is cause you can grow it and the goverment cant tax it, and there is no way to test it like ETOH when the cops pull you over. the goverment could make a shit load if the would legalize it and tax it.

I doubt that's possible, so why don't you give us your expert opinion on what a benign and harmless substance Ambien is? In a few clicks of my mouse I could probably find 20 different studies on how tame marijuana is by people with no financial interest in it's import or export(besides personal use). The same can't be said about any Rx drug of any kind-but especially the big money makers like Ambien, Prozac, Paxil, Adderall, etc. Anybody remember Phen phen or Fen-Fen??? How many people had strokes/heart probs from using it??? It was legal and "harmless" too at one time. And what about Viox??? Same shit. Class Action Lawsuits are still pending up the ass too!!!

And back about 12 years ago GHB was legal and sold at GNC as a sleep aid. I'll agree it's a dangerous substance when combined with other drugs, and most people are too irresponsible to use it-but increased Rem sleep, increased natural growth hormone secretion, with no hangover the next AM is definitely something worth looking into for some people.


And a little Ambien story of interest. My friend is 40 yrs old and has been a daily weed smoker since his teens. A long time ago he promised his wife he'd quit smoking weed on his 40th b-day. She was one of those sheep bent on her husband not using illegal drugs. Anywho, he quits and 2 months of insomnia ensue. He's having trouble concentrating at work and his daily job performance was declining. Well, he goes to the Dr and the Dr prescribes him Ambien. It worked almost immediately-except he was now having a difficult time staying awake on the job. About 2 wks into his Ambien Rx, he falls asleep driving to work, wrecks his new car, and gets a DUI for Ambien. This is a guy that smoked blunts on his way to work daily for years and never had an accident. GHB was the greatest sleep aid of all times. When I was at college it was a great supplement to aid in sleep. At the time, I was doing two-a-days and still studying for exams. And a little Ambien story of interest. My friend is 40 yrs old and has been a daily weed smoker since his teens. A long time ago he promised his wife he'd quit smoking weed on his 40th b-day. She was one of those sheep bent on her husband not using illegal drugs. Anywho, he quits and 2 months of insomnia ensue. He's having trouble concentrating at work and his daily job performance was declining. Well, he goes to the Dr and the Dr prescribes him Ambien. It worked almost immediately-except he was now having a difficult time staying awake on the job. About 2 wks into his Ambien Rx, he falls asleep driving to work, wrecks his new car, and gets a DUI for Ambien. I didnt say one bad thing about weed. I have no problem with it, and it's legal to possess where I live. I've gifted a lot of plat memberships if you wonder where my K has gone.

I see patients nightly who take ambien safely. You're right, I dont have big legs... but it's because I cycle over 40 miles a day to work every day as well as recreational cycling on the weekends. I'm also a registered sleep technologist with a bachelors degree in biology and have worked in neuroscience research. Xyrem has a lot higher potential for abuse than ambien (which I think we agree on). Additionally, the permissive effects of growth hormone dont just happen because there's more of it released. The feedback loop you create when not sleeping well is hell on your physique as well as your mind. Treating that at the cause, not abusing highly addictive substances like GHB for little reason is a much better plan than just ''take this''.

BTW increased REM does not mean increased GH levels, GH is released when thyroid hormone is inhibited in slow wave sleep, which is almost the polar opposite of REM sleep. Most drugs (that I know of) dont have significant increases of both REM and SWS over the long haul. If it's rebound sleep over the short term then they both would increase, but once he started paying back his sleep debt there would be no real increase in both SWS and REM.

Of course, if you want to try to be a dick some more, we can talk about neurotransmitter mediated changes in stages of sleep or any other aspect of sleep you'd like to discuss. An attitude like yours makes it hard to have respectful discussions here without someone getting personal. Ambien was prescribed for me to help sleep by my "Jew" doctor, recognized worldwide as the best for the particular surgery I underwent. It is not a habit-forming drug, at least not for me. It didn't even put me to sleep and I was taking 2 at a time.

Stem cell research may or may not have merit. But it's an ethical issue, same as abortion, stem cells taken from dead human fetuses. We certainly have gone OT thanks to BC, the next president of the USA.
