Superstud takes a break from the NFL to become a Ranger. Hooah!

I admire it....but he is taking a hell of a risk, and pay cut.

His tax dollars annually paid to train about 10 Rangers....

That is so awesome. Good to see at least one Pro who's not a whiny, money-grubbing bitch.

This story first surfaced last winter right? I remember reading about it.

There was a similar situation with a boxer who wanted to join the Marines. I don't think it worked out. Hopefully this one will, and he will return to star in the NFL after jumping into combat with the Rangers.

I'd serve and pin the tab on him anyday of the week....I hope he sets an example for all to follow....

I sure would like to be in RTB as an RI in Darby when he gets there....heh heh heh

Ranger

I know he wants to join the Regiment. If he sticks around long enough to go to Ranger school, that could take a couple of years. Anyway as a college grad he will be a specialist right away, so he should get a chance to go soon. He will be high on the OOM list.

Damn you guys and your Army jargon!!! Translation please!!!

Sorry. Once he gets into the Rangers, he will want to go to Ranger school for additional specialized training and to earn the coveted Ranger Tab. He will be promoted to the rank of Specialist ahead of guys that he enters with because of his college degree, therefore he will be high on the waiting or OOM (OOM = Order of Merit) list.

Hee hee

That's funny the way you explained it. He'll make it.
