Whoa. I checked my sugar at work 2 days ago and it was 42!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMAO that's like 2.3 mmol/L. I've seen people with a GCS of 3 at that glucose level. I think you're a human anomaly, J ;)

I know!!!! I had a call just yesterday with this unresponsive chick who have a glucose of 46. My partner made a comment on how hers was probably higher than mine. It's crazy. I go to the doctor in 2 days. It never really bothers me right now but I am curious about it. Wonder if it means I get to be a diabetic when I grow up.

Anybody else check their glucose? I check mine at work ... when I'm sitting around being bored. It's usually 55-70's. People at work say it is 2low.That's probably b/c we are medics and they teach us in school that good glucose is 80-120's. I think they teach us that for dealing with our diabetics and such. I eat a TON but don't eat like most of the people I work with. I probably eat less carbs .... but I eat a lot and I feel fine. I figured u guys might have some input since u are so good with this kinda stuff. I think my glucose levels are healthy.Am I wrong?

My glucose levels are checked with my blood testing every three months. They were high within range at one time. If you are within range per a certified blood test, you are fine.

However, you can improve. Now I watch "fast" sugar intake - I think it is a killer! I try to get all my carbos from veggies and avoid products with high sugar content. This includes processed flour and even fruits. I read labels.

The results were dramatic for me, especially with improvements in all aspects of cholesterol control and blood pressure.. Body composition changed to the better with fat reduction. I did lose a lot of body weight, going from a blubbery 230 to a thin 175 over about 9 months. I urinated continually the first weeks.

Thanx for the info. I go to the doc 2day for my yearly physical for work. One day last week my glucose went from 41 ... to 360 .... and down to 56 in a 2 hour period. That just ain't right. I usually eat really clean. Actually, I usually only eat really good carbs, but sometimes I slip. I'll see what the doc says and let everyone know. Thanx! :)
