sugar alchohol

Stay away from them. Natural sugar is better than this shit and typically you need more sugar alcohols to get the same sweetness as natural sugar too. Avoid both actually is the best thing.

LOL,

LILJ...lose the sugar bro!!!! Have you cut any sugar out yet, your last thread you were gonna get a slow cooker.

Trust me - I know you were worring about losing BF. You dont need to cut, just get a clean diet and you will lean out... even on bulking cals...

ya i cut the sugars out thats why i asked about sugar alcohol because everything that doesnt have sugar in it has sugar alcohol in it. When i dropped all that cereal i eat my weight dropped fast

Eat too much, you will have temporary digestive problems, like dreadful wind.

The carbs still count with sugar alcohol, even if they don't spike insulin.

lilj888 if you want your oats to taste good, do following:
- add cinnonom and (lots of) cocoa to shaker with boiling water
- add splenda tablets (not sachets which contain maltodextrin) to taste and blend
- pour on oats and microwave in water, and then add protein powder.

It tastes awesome.

What's more
- both cinnonom and cocoa have close to the the highest antioxidant scores of any food (USDA-ORAC).
- both contain basically no sugar and lots of fibre, and cocoa in particular is a good source of many minerals
- the sat fat in cocoa is a good kind (cocoa is only 10% fat anyway) which converts to oleic acid
- cinnonom improve insulin sensitivity and cholestoral profiles (Cinnamon May Lower Blood Glucose and Cholesterol - Cinnamon and Diabetes)
- cocoa has nitric oxide properties, cardiovascular benefits (Cocoa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

sugar is not bad. first thing in the morning a little suger is good. post work out a lot of sugar is good. spike your insulin before you even leave the gym. at least this works well for me.

imo if your goal is to gain mass you should be bulking not cutting. your looking good dont get me wrong but it looks like your still in the early stages of growth. you need caories

I pretty much live on a crap-free diet... only eat ice cream / cake / pie on special occasions. However, to keep myself sane, I periodically eat one of those Atkins Endulge caramel nut bars.

I never gave it much thought until I read this thread... it has 1g of sugar, but 8g of sugar alcohol.

I can't find on the wrapper which sugar alcohol it has, except that the wrapper clearly indicates that maltitol, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium are included. Are any/all of those sugar alcohols?

Edit: I see from the wiki article that maltitol is a sugar alcohol. I read some articles on maltitol, and can't find issues, except a slight laxitative effect, which I haven't had. Any thoughts on maltitol?
