it pisses me off that they would 'confront' this kid about his usage and not search his room until after he died. although coming down off of the steroids probably played a big part in his depression and concomitant suicide, you have to look at the parents in this case. where in the hell were they?

Why did the football coach have his players attend? Christ, the coaches are the fucking reason kids are feeling the need to juice in the first place! "Son, if you don't put 40 more pounds on your bench by fall I'll cut you. If you don't knock .3 off of your 40-yard, I'll cut you. If you don't come back leaner, meaner, and quicker than last season your ass is GONE."

Teenage years are the worst time for a kid to mess with steroids.
Why are the teen years so hard? One reason is that your natural hormones are on fire and they DO effect your moods. Extra gear COULD inflame the problems of growing up. Teens are often are too young to deals with the sides of gear use. They have enough to deal with in life alone. Parents should be hot on whats going on in a kids HEAD as well as his life.
