5 giant dumbbells at the place I work out at. To give you an idea of scale, in the upper left corner of the picture is my size 14 foot. The handles are solid and 3.5" in diameter and about 5.5" long. Empty they weigh roughly 145 lbs. Each end has a 1" allen screw that comes out to fill with sand or shot. We had the painted one filled to 228 lbs with sand and still had a lot of room to go. I can't imagine how heavy they would be with shot in them.
The best I have seen was the 228 get pressed for 9 reps in 60 seconds in training just before the Arnold this year.
I am still just trying to get an empty one stable enough on my shoulder for a successful drive up. Today I got it sort of going but after about 6" up I lost it, and it came down on my ear. OW!
