Having a nice set of abs is all about having a good diet (and maybe a bit of cardio too).

So that means you are in the right place. Post up your current diet and lets see what kind of suggestions can be made to improve your stomach fat.

Its pretty hard to give advice based on such general statemets. 'Alot of protein' and 'a ton of cardio' can mean very different things depending on the person. If you want advice you are going to have to be a little more specific. Or just keep on reading posts and learning. :)

^^^ Diet i.e.

Meal # 1
• 2 scoops ISO
• Handful blueberries / Raspberries / Strawberries
• 1 small banana

Meal # 2 :
• 4 oz Grilled Chicken Breast
• 1 Cup Green Beans
• 1 Medium Granny Smith Apple

etc ...

15 years old playing sports and you have a stomach fat? Damn I was a rail at that age and couldn't gain weight for the life of me!!!

well my weight is 155lbs and i am 6 foot i know i am not fat it is just that i have a little bit of cub around my stomach that i wanted to lose so i can have a six pack, i already have a 4 pack that shows over the top but i just need to lose the cub so the 6 pack will show.
I have a good amount of weight lifting from football weightlifting for about 3 years.
thanks if there is anymore ? please ask

You are young and still growing, you need your food .. I would suggest cleaning up your diet as best you can, being 15, living with the P's, eating cafeteria food etc... Just avoid the fast food & beer (if you do that in h.s. yet, NOT that I condone that, but hey been there) ...

What are your eating now, like I said before, specifically ...

Ummm stop drinking the beer and that pouch will go away.

Well what i mainly eat is lunch food from school and i eat fast food everynight just about because of baseball it is hard to cook food getting home so late like usual 10:30 at night. I mean there is no really way for me to change my diet from this because of baseball but i do try.

Can you guys tell me any home routines that work for getting a good work out for your abs beacause im sure that is going to be my only shot to get the abs that i want unless that you guys have anyother ideas for me to do.

Thanks

Sorry but that is just a huge excuse, there are always ways around eating fast food. You could always make your food the day before its called planning. You dont seem very committed.

agree, As for the commitment level, if you want it hard enough, you will

like they said, abs are made in the kitchen.

Your sports give you a good workout, so your muscles are working hard enough, but you definetely need to improve your diet. If you're not eating breakfast, DO IT--and make it healthy, since this seems like the easiest meal to improve....some whole-grain cereal with one piece of fruit is a good starter. If you like oatmeal, try some healthy oatmeal instead of the cereal. (I'm not talking about Lucky Charms or Cinnamon Toast Crunch, either....even those these are made with whole grains.)

-Add some ab training. Train them 3 times a week. For example, I go to a stability ball class at my local YMCA. You could also just look up ab workouts, but make sure you're not just doing plain crunches all the time....you should research ab workouts. (telling you to research is probobly not what you are expecting, but it's all I can do and its important to make the best use of your workouts!)

-I know that your sports, football especially, might have you training preety much all year round, but when you can, cross-train. Swim, jog, bike, play recreational soccer with friends, lift weights on your own. Do whatever you can do add variety to your muscles.

Hope this helps!

you have to plan ahead bro.....buy a pound of turkey breast and bring it along with you..make some sandwiches.....bring a protein shake around. cook off you food on sunday that will last you until thursday and wake up early thursday and cook until sunday..somepeople will say cook for the whole week buy I like my shit a little fresher than the average joe. thats probably cuz im a cook for a living. you must eat better and avoid the fast food and avoid SODA!!!

Guys, he's 15. 'Cook your meals ahead'?

Hey mon, just steer all the way around all the crap your friends eat except on your one reward afternoon/evening: no more soda with sugar in it. EVER. nope, not ever. no more chips, no more chocolate ANYTHING, pizza? only on reward day. McDonalds? Chicken sandwich, only one half of the bun, no fries. No shit.

Look, if you think its hard... IT IS. FUCKING HARD! Its no fun? Get over that.

A wise guy i once new asked me a question that has stuck with me and jumps up and slaps my hand every time I try to cheat on a day other than my Reward day:

'Which would you rather: have that (pizza, fries, coke, etc) or have your woman lick your hard abs?'

Makes fries look a little less appealing, eh?

;)

thanks for all the help guys
but i already dont eat chocolate im allergac and when i go to McDonalds i only eat the nuggets or the chiken sandwhichs. I dont drink sode only milk, sweet tea, and gaterade or powerade. thats is what i am having trouble with i am already doing what you guys are sayin that is why i dont understand y i still have the cub on my stomach.
so if you have any advice for me that would be great thanks.

If I could get a nickle for every question I have ever gotten about men having their "4 pack" but could not shed the lower stomach fat to get the six pack I would be rich.

There is no magic here, it is still all about diet. This is many men's last bastion of fat. It gets especially hard to shed if you have been dieting for a fair amount of time with no break. Your body is not programmed to look good at the beach, it is programmed for survival.

In many cases of long duration dieting, the body will try to actually "store fat", and this is the last area. Some have leg problems also. But anyway, the idea is that you must be as stubborn as the your body is to give it up in your diet.

Again, if you have been dieting without a break, take a week, drop back toward your last maintenance level, and let your metabolism, thyroid, etc. reset. This will take an average of at least 100 gr. of carbs per day.

Then go back to your dieting.

See, everyone on these boards has the dieting aspect down, but muscle gain/fat loss is as much hormonally controlled as it is nutritionally controlled. It is amazing how often this aspect is overlooked. Rising cortisol, falling testosterone, etc.

This can lead to some estrogen issues(you do not have to be 50 for this), which further muddle thngs....but this is another thread, and not to be elaborated on here if not pertainable.

First, you carry a lot of water, second, I will take a shot that your 'ab' workout is almost all high reps. Bad.

Why do folks do that? Would you do a hundred bicep curls? Three sets of 60 on flat bench? WHY would ANYONE do that with their abs?!? They ARE muscles, right?

Train them every other day. Every other time you train them do 'dynamic' ab work, that is to day body weight and complex/compound movements. The opposing time: do them HEAVY TO FAILURE OF FORM! example of heavy day abs:

3 sets, 8 reps each, no more. Ever. You can do the eighth rep on the third set? Add WEIGHT to it next time.

Hanging Pikes.
Elevated Cable Crunches.
High Cable Woodchops.*
Decline Bench Weighted Russian Twists.*
Balanced Knee Crunches with a Medicin ball held over your head.

*These hammer your Transverse Abdominus, THAT is the only way to pull in Sub-Abdominal Protrusion. Leg lifts etc will just make that area WORSE if you dont work the deep muscle cross.

You will have savage, THICK and DENSE abs that you will be able to see at a MUCH higher bodyfat percentage by virtue of the fact that they are THERE. You do nothing but monster crazy high rep core work and all you are doing is devouring the muscles you are so desperately trying to SEE. You cant see em if you let them get cannabalized by your own efforts.

As with every body part: Intensity Means Density! Quantity Destroys Quality.
