class?
i never mentioned any bench press class- i said i was going to compete in january if training went well.
my bench has gone up consistantly over the past few years. slowly, but up. (and you know i'm totally drug free).
you're not tall, weigh 205 and have a barrel chest and from what I can see, not terribly long arms- you should be benching more.
are you training for strength though, or for size? do you have a "bench day" or a "chest day"?
because training for a larger bench is not just chest- its chest, lats, delts, and triceps and you should be working your routine accordingly.
I'm not sure what my 1rm raw bench is- i think around 210.

I have bin lifting fore size and stranth.I have a chest day not a bench day.
I have never tride to train fore just lifts ever.I do have a large chest width 54 inch right now,and my arms are not to long.I love the thought of doing something like this though.
my cheast day has bin like this fore a wile now
flat bench 5x5
inclin bench 5x5
flys
dips
push ups
dumb bell bench press
and all kinds of other stuff
I mix it up a lot every week with flat bench being the only one I do every time
I know nothing about power lifting or how to train fore it but I have bin thinking fore a wile now that it is a sport i could be good at if I lernd how to train fore it.

if you want to try it, throw the thought of training bodyparts out the window. from now on, you'd train for a bigger bench, squat, and deadlift. you wouldn't touch the smith machine, do overhead presses, or even much curls/bicep work.
If you're serious, i'll give you a routine to do. Its 4 days a week- 2 bench (one is auxillary work) and the other 2 are squat day and deadlift day.
you'd also have to train consistantly, 4 days a week, and NOT mix things up.
given your body type, you should be a strong bencher and squatter.
