carb side was: steel cut oats, brown rice and barley, all toasted and cooked in a broth made with Tony's Herb Spice Mix and a liberal addition of toasted almond slivers and garlic chips.... Nutty, crunchy, toasty, garlicky.....

I was in Italy a few months ago. Had the opportunity to dine in Florence.

Ordered me a Bistecca a la Fiorentina. My God. It was an experience let me tell you.

Ive never in my life eaten a steak this big. Just for comparison. I was able to put my finger into the steak and it almost reached my knuckle.

Seared on the outside. Bloody red in the middle. Juicy and flavorful. Reminded me of the Matrix when hes eating that steak.

Best Porterhouse i ever had.
 
Sounds awesome. Flavorful, HEALTHY alternative from the standard beef slathered in bordo or bernaise (which I love, also). The garnish was my fav. Seriously looking for alternatives to get away from white starches.

Have some steak in the fridge and will try the dish tomorrow night.
