Starting to like my body....

I'm just feeling awesome. I went from eating next to nothing (and when I ate it was sugar) and not working out to working out 6 days a week and eating 6 times a day. I don't even feel like I've made some huge time sacrifice-- I've simply taken the time I was wasting watching tv after work and now go to the gym. The only down-side I've experienced is that I really have to plan ahead so I have food to eat. That's not even hard, it's more just something I'm getting used to.

My body looks so much tighter-- even after just a month. Ironic that after starving myself for so damn long to be thin, I start eating all the time and I get smaller. I've gained a little bit of weight but my jeans are getting loose. I'm still fighting with the eating disorder mentality in terms of increased weight=increased fat. Every week I feel more content when I see my naked reflection in the mirror. What an amazing feeling.

Just wanted to share that I'm incredibly happy with my progress thus far and I'm psyched that this is only just the beginning. I have more energy and I'm happier with my body. I've gotten more info and support here than I could have hoped for. I hope other people are also on their ways to reaching their goals.

What a great post! Congrats on your progress. There's nothing, in my opinion, that feels as wonderful as healthy self-esteem!

Congrats Kate! Its a cool thing when u see it work, because IT DOES! And it just keeps getting better too! You've already got it as part of your lifestyle -- that's the hard part. Now you just keep it going and reap the benefits!

Great job! Coming from an ED background myself, I remember thinking how now I have all these details to plan - meals, training, etc. Starving sure was a lot simpler! I wouldn't trade all this "work" for the world because I love to eat, I love the results, and it finally feels good to live in my body. You've discovered the SECRET! :arty:

Very cool. I predict that before long, you'll actually be happy when you see the weight going up, because you'll know it means you're getting in better shape, building up nice lean muscle. It's so cool the day you realize that -- the scale becomes your friend, not your enemy.
