Splits?

How do you slip your muscle groups into workouts. I usually train:
chest/shoulders
bi's/tri's
back/legs
abs every day

I am only new to this myself..but back and legs on the same day is a bit much..both big muscle groups. Better off doing Back and bi's and putting tri's on the same day as legs.

sure the more experienced ladies will say what is best but know back and legs is too much on one day.

I agree w/ fit mum on the back / legs - I kill the shit out of my legs and break them more into quads / hams / glutes.

My past fav split has been:

Legs
back / bis
chest / tris
shoulders / rear delts

Current split is:
chest / delts
bis / tris
back / calves
legs

So far it has worked for me. I spend more time in the gym, but it works. There are a couple of compound movements that work the back and hams so i throw them in.

I've always liked the push/pull routine ..... chest/shoulders/triceps, back/biceps, legs.

I also like Chest/Back, Shoulders, Biceps/Triceps, Legs.

All depends on how many days per week you want to train and how long you like to train. Me personally, right now I am doing 2-3 days ifting and doing more of a circuit-style lifting. I am focusing on compound movements, VERY little isolation, and doing legs between sets (lunges, free squats, no weight at all). Enjoying it, but will eventually go back to a traditional split, but even then, legs will be an "extra" day and done with very little weight (if any). Eventually want to go back to doing a plyometric day as my leg day.
