Oh yeah, I also don't have a degree (15 units short), but I have 2 businesses I started all by myself, each of which nets me well over 6 figures annually...so I have been making well over $100K since I was 24.

As a personal trainer I had exercise physiologists pay may to show them how to work out and Dr's that needed 411 from me on how to take gear. All of that college and they still needed to consult some non-college educated peasant like myself for practical applications of their chosen game? Kinda makes you go hmmmmmm...

I will for sure say he is/was well respected in our community. But did you watch that news report? He has had priors for burglary and possession. I'm not going to knock the poss charge for obvious reasons. But I think people who burglarize houses, vehicles, etc are lowlifes. Kind of goes to show that you never really know who you are dealing with on the internet do you? In any case though, I do wish him the best and I hope he takes this time to get things in order and get away from this scene. The notion that he will return to sourcing is nothing short of deplorable and will show what kind of person he REALLY is, so I guess we will see.

LOL. Some of the biggest idiots I know are college grads that sre standing in the unemployment lines as I type. I went to community college for 1.5 semesters and all I learned was how to make a low cost beer bong from parts bought at Ace hardware, how and where to score better quality weed, and how to talk chicks I fucked into getting an abortion-all while improving my hacky sack skills. With my 12th grade education I've been more successful than 99% of my high school classmates that finsished grad school. Not onlydo I look 10 yrs younger than them, I don't have a monthly student loan payment that's similar in amount to a house mortgage either. Even though I'm the 1st generation to live outside a trailer park in my family, I've never even worked more than 25hrs (or so) a week in my adult life either, and I'll proudly compare investment portfolios with any degreed professional in my age group.

Having a degree means you were sucked into a pseudo-ideal that has no 100% guarantee of success. To me going to college is like working a job where you may, or may not, even get a paycheck at the end of the week. To correlate a college degree with intelligence is absolutely ludicrous. Driving a car w/ exp. tags w/ contraband in your possession is even moreso, and you don't need to be a handyman to figure that out. Sorry to flame, but the whole college=intelligence bullshit thing some people regularly buy into really chaps my ass.

This is getting way off topic, but you did bring up a good point. Money begets money. Very few people start in a poor family and end up millionaires. Ivy league educations aren't cheap, parents usually have money to be able to send their kids to those schools. And I think it's tried and true to say "It's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know."

So the circle goes...family has money ---> gives kid a top notch education ---> kid meets more wealthy children at school ----> parents or friends parents use their connections to give kid job after graduation

FYI, my mother is a stay at home mom and my dad has never made more than $60K a year...and we all live in california, so $60K doesn't buy you much. So I am self made, and I think that is more bragable than saying that you have family who has a lot of cash.

I have to believe most folks are responsding to a thread topic started by a concerned bro without knowledge of the person's identity whether it was THE SOURCE or an employee of the source. We are commenting on the facts of the thread topic, as best that can be ascertained.

salmyson, you seem to be pissed and started to vent because you lost a source. I WILL NOT UNDERSTATE the significance or importance of this, but losing a source and getting busted by the stupid actions of your source (or employee) that you have no control over are two different things. If you have as much money as you have gone out of the way to say you do, then why don't you share some of it with this person you respect so very much, to help him/her get back on their feet, or maybe legal fees. So as not to be hyppocritical, if this person was a bro's father, mother or little brother, yeah we probably wouldn't have said the things we did, but the action was stupid, regardless of where they went to college or high school.

I am concerned about a lot of good bros that are interested in building a healthy, strong body and helping others with similar interests. IF there is something that can be shared and learned on here that can hellp some good folks out, that's what we should focus on.
