Songs for Training:)

I love pumping the heavy iron to REAL HARD rock like White Zombie, Black Sabbath, Ramstein ect. It gets me all fired up to throw up the big weights and embarass the abdoers of the gym lol.

Rob Zombie....., There is NOONE better to lift to!!! I was skeptical and didnt like him at all and then one day after my husband and i got done training I asked him how he kept his intensity up and he said "listen to this." it was Superbeast by Rob Zombie and I have been hooked ever since!

These are a few of my favorites but about 80% of his songs are good for training! Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for those clips :) Haven't seen them in a while. If that doesn't motivate you in the gym as far as music goes , I don't know what will!!! Forget Diana Ross:P

Damn I guess its time to update the iPod. I'm a metal head dating back from the mid 70s (yea like when I was 10 yrs old). I have a lot of Metallica, KISS, the symphony albums for both, some Annie Lennox and a bunch of trance to help get thru cardio.

My wife is a nut. She will be in our hemi challenger or stang with a big blower sticking out of the hood doing 100-150 depending on the stretch of road, blasting some hardcore stuff scaring the shit of out my big ass, lol.

OMG i would die. I traded in 30 min of cardio for abs & stretching cuz my ipod ran out of juice last nite. Killed me.

Already got LOTS o' that. Gets me thru the workout. People tell me I look so serious when I'm training. I'm like - naw just looking for the mosh pit....

Lifting: Disturbed, Godsmack, Mudvayne, My America is Watching Tigers Die, Pantera

Cardio is: some Blink 182, The Killers, Jet, Pink, Blur, stuff like that that has a good beat that I don't really pay attn. to but the beat moves me....

I'm sure I can dig up Barry Manilow's Greatest Hits if you're in need......

Yes - Definitely Rob Zombie to lift. It gets you pumped. The dance/techno is great for cardio. I'm new to all of this, but that's just a given. :rainbow:

I like going with Zombie (Rob or White), Pantara, Disturbed, and last but DEFINITELY not least…Bonnie Tyler's "I need a hero". That song rocks. I like working out Foot Loose style.

I'm boring I guess. I don't listen to songs while training.. I do listen to fergie and gwen while driving :)

Right now my most overplayed songs on the ipod are anything by nickleback and when I do cardio, I totally overplay "BEEP" by the pussycat dolls. That song ROCKS and makes me workout harder!

Dang girl! lol I would be LOST without my ipod! I was this morning... I didnt know what to do...

DropKick Murphy's....anything from their new album "Warriors Code"...they're a punk rock band (Irish, from Boston) and their music is all traditional Irish instruments (pipes, etc..) with punk rock:

http://www.cnettv.com/9710-1_53-22331.html

Opening lyrics to that song:

"You're a fighter
You've got the fire
The spirit of a warrior
and a champion's heart

You fight for your life
because a fighter never quits
You make the most of the hand you're dealt
Because a quitter never wins...."

(I'm 1/2 Irish, am a skin, own all of their albums, and have seen them in concert)

Cute dancing chiken huh? also have one doing break dance...LOL
I m going to guns n roses concert on sunday...
Another good ones for training!
Let body know WHAT is coming!!!

I always had affection for chickens

I raised one as a Pet when I was younger and it was nice :)
Chickens as in hens are sweet!
Joke for you...
One guy comes into a "palenque" -cock fights in Mexico- and wants to bet all his $$$$ but has no idea how it betting is done...
So he asks someone he thinks would know since he is collecting the $$$.
"Which rooster is the good one?"
"Uhm...the green one"
"Ok $1,000 on the green one"
So fight begins and green rooster is killed amost immediatly!!!!
He comes back and yells at the adviser...
"Hey !!!! You said the green one was the good one!!!!"
"yes...the other one is a complete S.O.B.!!!!!!"

that's a favorable topic, at least for me.
i can jog for an hour with the music, but only 20 minutes without it.
that's the magic of music :qt:
i can't appreciate heavy rock music but i do appreciate the uptempo and cheerful ones.
such as

I dug up some oldie goldies... JUDAS PRIEST! MEGA flashbacks to the mid-late 80s! Got me thru all my leg training tonite!

Good stuff!

Sting --- wow I got flashbacks all the way to HS w/ the Police.
Linkin Park - just generally love these guys - kinda like Limp Biskit before Durst got full of himself -- they look like they have fun doing their music.
Rap - I like some - Gangster Paradise stands out - its less rap but very ballad-y
