something very strange has happened to me and am wondering if anyone would have any explanations for this. for anyone who sees my posts you know im always talking about sleep issuse hat i have and the fact that ive been on and off of hypnotics like ambien and lunesta for a long time now. anyways, everytime im on them for a long period of time (more than a month straight) and run out i have to go cold turkey and dont sleep for about a week unti l i can get a refill. well, i ran out, and decided to take klonopin one night, which ive taken before. only something weird happened, i took the klonopin and the next nite tried nothing and slept all night without any meds. this was the first time ive slept all night without meds in nearly 2 years since i started the meds. needless to say, its been 4 nights since and have been sleeping naturally each night pretty decent. what is happening? i practically go cold turkey off the meds and all of a sudden im sleeping fine when in reality my nervous system should be fucked up to the point where it would take weeks even months to repair (i was on xanax at one point as well). can anyone explain this? its just very strange for this to happen to me. thanks.

dont under-estimate the power of the body.pills only mask symptoms they dont get to the root of the problem same with anti-depressants.

i agree but pills sometimes at least in my case are the only hope for me to even have a day the next day. going days without sleep keep me from being able to engage in activity during the day.
