Some questions from a first timer

Hello folks. I was considering (maybe in the future) to do a Test-e cycle. I have read a lot of logs and I think it would be a proper first cycle. My stats are: 23 years old 202 lbs 15-16%bf 6'2 and I have been lifting for 4-5 years, but around 3 years of serious lifting. I am a student and have access to a meal plan with pretty much unlimited supply of healthy foods (oats, chicken breasts, steaks, brown rice, vegetables, tuna, sweet potato etc).

I was thinking of a simple cycle of Test-e 500mg every week for 12 weeks.

For PCT I was thinking about clomid and nolva, but after reading the threads and posts on this forum, I know that this clomid and nolva pct is outdated and there are better options. So my main questions:

1.Is this an ok first cycle?
2.What PCT would someone recommend for this type of simple cycle?

(Again this is for future reference as I want to try and grow more and fine tune my diet and training and supplementation!)

Man, honestly at 6'2" and 202lb, you should be under 10%. Im 5'7" and i was 207 at 8%. I would get your diet and trainin down better first. Bc you have a lot of improvements that can be made naturally. But, to answer your question, yea, 500/week of test is a good first cycle. I would do unleashed/post cycle and some clomid for pct. you can throw in some forma too and hcgenerate. Ive personally never ran any of these for pct, except clomid, but all the mods talk really good abt them. So its just up to you really. If you dont opt for those, atleast go with some clomid and a few natural test boosters from your local nutrition store. ( and i dont mean GNC). GNC will always push their line of products and they suck

test -e for 500 is an excellent first cycle and i think you will do well with it...

yes, your pct is very important and nolva should not be used...

i would go with a low dose of clomid, unleashed and forged pct for your base...
 
Appreciate the input folks. Say If I didn't want to run clomid. Would Unleashed,Forged, and HCGenerate be plenty? Also how would you dose them (as in how many weeks and what amount per week)?

you would actually want to run hcgenerate on cycle...

unleashed - first week i run it at a double dose... 6 caps a day then the next 3 weeks 3 a day... spread out three times a day

forged - two in the a.m. upon waking

personally i would run a low dosage of clomid with it... just a low moderate dose... you don't need much when using forged and unleashed but i always prefer a small amount...

hcgenerate is 5 caps a day... 3 in the a.m. and 2 in the p.m.
 
I wouldn't even go 500 imo. I ran 250 for my first and loved it. Virtually no sides and great gains. As long as u eat and train big then 250 will be enough and u save gear and money!!

From what I've been researching though, it seems like everyone says that 250 a week is not enough and at least 500 should be the minimum?

Its really your call. 500mg/wk is widely accepted as a good benefit/sides ratio for a test cycle and is very popular. Some people can do well on less test, but 500mg seems to be the sweet spot for "most" people ;)
