great post perfect! I commend newbies for trying to make a lifestyle change, but so many expect results over night, and we all know it just doesn't happen like that.

I gotta agree with what Genetiking said 100%... I have seen so many gym dropouts its just amazing. Almost every single one of my friends comes to the gym for a month or two in an attempt to get huge and they stop claiming they dont have time, or it was a waste of their time, or some line of bullshit. Its just such a shame that everyone expects overnight results. Bodybuilding is just like any other sport no one is GREAT at basketball for example overnight. To be good you have to practice and practice just like in weight-training. The more you do it, you more effort you put into it, the more youll get out of it.
:D:D

Personnaly i saw unbelievable changes after only 2 months of training, i couldn't believe how much I gained, 5" with my chest, 2" for my arms...:alien:

I can commit myself to anything, I have a very strong will power. I was the weakest and slowest person on my football team but I stayed on even after a ton of my friends quit, the only reason I quit was because I wanted to start my own excersize routine and diet instead of following the football one. I have low expectations for everything, I always assume the worst whilst hoping for the best, and I find this works. When training a 0.1 inch gain excites me, cutting 0.1 seconds off my running time excites me. I give it my 110% everytime and expect nothing out of it, and therefor I am always happy with my results. Some people expect things, and I can understand that, but these people won't get anywheres in life. They can go on expecting to win the lottery, expecting to land a dream job, or expecting to have the perfect body in one workout. I will go on hoping for these things, but never will I expect them to actually happen.

A wise man once said "Expect nothing, hope for everything." I think alot of people out there would gain alot if they followed it.

Don't know why,but I always feel self concious when I am pushing weights significantly heavier than guys around me that are 50-60 lbs heavier/taller than me.
