when pulling, how is your grip? thumb under or over the fingers?

you can use either, but the thumb under (hook grip) will provide more stability w/ the larger weights.

wow, ok. I didn't know that. is this grip used in any other lifts besides the snatch and the deadlift?

i know louie simmons was experimenting with the hook grip on DLs not sure what happened to that. I for some reason feel stronger snatching with a 'regular' grip than a hook grip, probably need some one to teach me to do the hook grip right, I've got the smashing your thumb part down though

Yeah, I also use it on a lot of my pulls, and cleans.
