Yes Cottage Cheese before bed is great. Cottage Cheese is very rich in Casein protein which is very slow digesting. The idea is to eat it before bed and it will supply your body with amino acids while you sleep. Add some healthy fats like fish or flax oil and it will even further slow the digestion.
