I'm late to the party and too many posts to wade through but ...
Smurf, uh, Ha1 is right. They're called xenohormones and it's why we've got little girls going through puberty on average at about 10 instead of about 13, seriously. The plastics and petroleum mimic estrogen. Also why more and more women are suffering from PCOS.
Woot, frankly, being one of the older women on the board, I'll tell you the truth, now that I've broken past a certain age I honestly prefer smaller myself but if your girlfriend has her heart set on implants *shrug*. Just bear in mind it's a road that once you've gone down you can never go back, if you get my drift. They will need replacement in the future, that's the nature of medical implants. Sensitivity can be lost and things like cancer detection (if that runs in her family) can be made more difficult.
Why not ask her about her thoughts on a general booby lift? All natural (her own breast tissue), nothing implanted but they're nice and perky and firmer once the job is done.
I don't know about other girls but I'd hate to lose feeling in my nipples, just saying, and that's a risk with implants. I'd rather have sensitive A cups than a numb pair of Ds.

A girl doesn't have to have big boobs to be attractive.
