Working on the next Synpax diet version. Pending revisions drop the price from 5.75 to 5.50 and the calories from ~3000 to over 4000. I anticipate further price changes to get 4000+ high-quality calories for $4.50 by squeezing the prices of the components.
To aid in this, I'm looking to cut costs on the components by buying them in bulk. It looks likes there is a big bulk market out there for oats.
On the difference between steel cut oats and rolled oats, it seems that rolled oats are more effective per weight. Note the comparison between these two nutritional labels. Rolled has 1 more gram of protein and 2 more grams of carbs.
Quick Oats:

Steel Cut:

HOWEVER, the cost/effectiveness of the steel cut may be better.
Question 1: I eat rolled oats raw. Are steel cuts harder to eat raw or not? Thanks.
Question 2: Would you be willing to pay $180 for a one months (30 days) supply of the Synpax diet shipped to you in meal divided baggies?
