Seattle Seahawks Player busted for AS

the nfl is so dumb i realize they only bust some one every 3 years but still no one wants to see a 230 pound lineman they want to see 360 pound guys hitting each other same thing with ifbb i read article by ben weider in m&f last month about how ifbb will now start testing (hence jay cutler and the other guys who got caught in olympia) and he denounces aas as cheating c'mon no1 would want to watch mr olympia if the guy weighed 205-220 pounds we want to see big mofos liek coleman why dont they just give it up already

The weird thing about it is that as a defensive back Springs is a "normal" size at about 6' 220 or so. I can't imagine why he was picked on vs some freaky 6'6" 300+ lb lineman.

i am sure its random, i have something like that here at work its a lottery if your number is picked they test you, but i am sure at a office job its for weed and coke not a.s

this wont open any eyes people
will say good the nfl caught one of the only "cheaters" people are dumb

How do u know he was on AAS?

THe article says he broke the League's policy on "Anabolic Steroids and RELATED SUBSTANCES" ... hell he prolly took some Painkiller. U think this guy gives a fuck about roids.. hell, those guys dont even lift during the season.

What?? I hope that reply was a joke. Of course those guys are jacked up on gear.

Dude, Springs is 6' 190lbs not 220lbs! He plays cornerback, if he were 190lbs he'd be one huge corner!!!

I get your point though ... But seriously most NFL players are or have used AAS at some point. The league really don't wanna test anybody positive anyway. They'll get somebody from times to times just to show peoples that the sport is clean (right!). Remember who was the last guy who tested positive before Springs? If my memory serves me well it was Jim Miller, Chicago's QB (who is far away from looking like anything athletic!).

From what I read, Springs suffered a major hamstring injury and was using steroids to help his muscle heal and regain strength faster so he could come back earlier.

I'm beggining to suspect that they are much more likely to test those on the injured reserve. Last month Jamal Lewis of the Ravens was found in violation of the drug policy. Jamal, Ray and Shannon Sharpe all trained together 2 off-seasons ago, and both Lewis boys made very big size changes in that period, so I find it comical that he gets busted now. Of course Shannon only juices with EAS super shakes.

The league would probably just say it was andro or something like that when he probably got buster with something like winny or something else like that.

And about opening eyes, if people dont realize that these guys are juicing there eyes will probably never be oper.

I agree with you HG ... however I wonder if that's because:

a) Players on the injured reserve are more likely to use AAS and other substances (either because they don't think that they are gonna get tested or because they want to regain their strength faster after an injury).

b) The league do not want to test active players, which would could have a negative impact on a team (if they test an injured player, the impact is less than if a regular is tested. i.e. it's much worst to loose Kendrell Bell or Ray Lewis than an injured player who is already not playing!)

I totally agree with you guys. It's just easy logic that a huge majority of NFL players juice. First look at the fact that there are some High School players who do. Then when you look at College the competition is even harder so more people take it looking for an advantage then when you get to the Pro's it goes without saying.

I may be off by a few lbs, but these DBs and WRs are getting much bigger and muscular. David Boston, WR for Arizona is listed at 6'2" 225 but is reported to be more like 240, with speed! I think Springs is well over 200.

I beg to differ, I would love to see guys less juiced up in competition.

I like the snoop part. Good comparison, some things are just expected of people these days.

Its true, during the season most of us do not lift that hard. Odds are he took something that may have stayed in his system too long from the offseason ie: deca.

But more likely it was a painkiller that wasn't given to him by a team physician. That can definitely get you nabbed.

This is why I always stick to low dose Test Prop almost year round because its very hard to detect as well it gets out of your system in only a week or two.

Tested Athletes, PLEASE BE SMART!

David Boston is a Pimp:fro: I believe you are 100% right ttlpkg,
there is no way he is 225 with 18's and tree trunks like those:rolleyes: More like 240!

Agreed, Boston said that we went up to 236lbs this season running a 4.27 / 40

There is a pic and his testimonial at

http://www.charlespoliquin.net/test2.htm

Scroll at the bottom of the page.

I do not doubt the 236lbs ... in fact he is probably even bigger now, but the 4.27 is harder to believe. It's probably a hand timed 40 on a fast surface... no way a man this big can run a 4.27 forty on natural grass with an electronic timer!

More on David Boston's training ...

By Charles Poliquin:

"Because of David’s nervous system, I needed to change his program more often than other elite athletes. He adapts about 50% faster than any Olympic athlete I have worked with.He went from a bodyweight of 209 lbs at 9.8 % bodyfat to 233 at 4 % last summer while running a 4.27 40 yard dash. He benched 425 lbs in camp, which was the 5th highest bench press of the Arizona Cardinals.- as a wide receiver !!!My colleagues in the NFL
reckons that he is probably the strongest wide receiver in the league ever to play the game. Mike Ditka told David Boston that he is the best physical specimen he has ever seen.

Changes in his dietary approach had a lot to do with his success. Plenty of fish oils went into that body!!!. Variations in the protein sources was also critical. He ate more ostrich, buffalo etc...Managing cortisol and
insulin are the keys to lean tissue gain and adipose tissue loss.

My goal next year is to have him be the strongest player regardless of position on his team. After doing an assessment on him, we found that his lower back strength was the limiting factor in his running speed. His
upper back also need special work which we corrected. After correcting those issues, we went on to more functional strength training like sled dragging and various forms of grip work which is essential to the wide receiver to catch balls and fend off opponents."

and oh, by the way, the guy catches 5-8 balls for 60-100 yds per game.

yea.. im sure they kno that most of nfl players are juicing...but they have to bust someone everyonce in a wile to keep media and people honest.

u kno damn well there doing random testing and somehow it seems that the kicker is always geting tested...go figure..

but seriously what percentage of nfl payers juice..??

its probably very hard to compete, and even to make it there if u r not.

David Boston is an absolute freak! I have never seen arms like that on a speed athlete.

Eric Moulds was a new breed of very muscular-armed receivers when he broke in, but he pales next to Boston.

Tell me where to find that ostrich and buffalo meat!

Yes I'm sure, in addition to other various juices...
