#1 and #2 could've easily been made into one movie. They did not deserve two elongated boring flicks .. which is why those two sucked so bad. He was stretching for stories and boring audiences in the meantime.

No, the Sith knew Anakin was on his way. He already planted the seed in his mind. Sidious could have easily used the Force to repel Windu backwards or retrieve his light saber. But he didn't. He wanted to appear to be the victim of a senseless jedi attack to influence Ananiken.
