Well, since we all share everything here, first, this morning was 140.5 lb. Soooo close!
Last nite at about 2:15 am the colon cleanse kicked in. For an hour. Felt like someone punched my in stomach, followed by a 10 min calf cramp. Having lost an hour of sleep from my already precious few hours, I slept in an extra hour this morning, got up to the gym at 6:30 am, trained for like 15 min & did the 1 hr of lunge cardio on the treadmill. Blah.

9 days left.

I know! I have no idea how big or small this show is or what the competition looks like. I think I'll be registering to compete in both the Women's Open (probably middle-weight) and Women's Masters (35+). I'm about 85% comfortable with my mandatories. My rear lat spread needs some work, not sure about what they are doign w/ a front lat spread, and the rest I just need to practice. My routine however, shit I still need to get my music recut and work on that.

I'll be so glad when its over.

I not comfortable with my posing yet either, apparently I've been practicing all wrong for the last while, and found out the right way this past weekend. I freakin look like a robot, I got to get it smooth, well it was better this morning, yesterday is was just terrible.
 
I drank about 1/2 a bottle before my pre-judge first time around. Red wine is a bit of a vaso-dilator, and yea, it helps reduce the inhibitions a little... :)

me too.. Red wine does this instant coma state for me. Relaxes me though so .. I'm gonna give it a go! I'll have to glue myself in my shoes but I'm ok with that ;)
 
Well word of warning -- sip it. You will want to be dry on stage - I mean if you intend to do a water depletion - dont' know if you are or not, but that was the state I was in. Literally chewing on the sides of my mouth cuz I was so dried out. But wine is also a diuretic. But again, as I said, I got a sugar buzz from a single raisin at this point in my dieting so the wine would be instantaneous cheap date.

Well shit. I just got the application form for the Eastern Seaboard w/ the weight classes listed.

I'm gonna compete in the Womens Open & Women's Masters. Weight class... hmmm. Depends on the weigh-in. But check this:

Womens:
Light weight: up to 115 lb
Middle weight: 116 - 125 lb
Light Hvy: 126-140 lb
Hvy: > 140 lb.

I'm 140 now & expect to drop a few more by Monday, then say about 10 in water. That puts me at the bottom end of the Light Hvy. Not sure I like that. Generally you like to be just inside the top end of your target weight class. Not sure I can pulll off 125.

So I dunno - maybe they'll combine a weight class.

Maybe I'll just start an 8 day cycle of tren + test and go Heavy wt. :silly:

Thx girls & J! Impatiently waiting for 1 week from today!

Just got my pre-judge suit back! I'll get some pix up tonite or tomorrow w/ it. Still trying to get ahold of the girl making my nite suit. That's the one I'm dying to see becaue of all the detail and that its a new design, whereas the AM show suit was copied off one of my old suits.

Today, we trained at 7:30, cardio before that at home. Then went & got my hair retouched and discussed some hair styles. I stopped off at a salon store & bought all the stuff to make my hair sparkle and plaster it in place so it won't move for 3 days. And since I seem to have broken a few nails since my last manicure, I picked up some press-on nails to see how that works. (Blech. Hate fake nails...) Tonite I also need to get crackin on my posing routine. I still need to get the music recut.

Tomorrow: Train at 9 am, tan, work on posing, play w/ my hair, get some sleep and get in touch w/ the pm suit girl. :)

Quick ? -- do you need a pre-judge suit + a second suit??
 
Hey Jen!

For tix you can call the number and they will hold them at the Will Call for you so you can pick them up.

Technically I guess you only need one suit. The pre-judge suit needs to be plain color with no ornamentation so as to not distract from the formal judging at the mornign show. You could also use that for the night show, or go with a flashier deal. I went w/ the flashier deal that I am also planning to use for whatever figure show I do in the future. Figure shows, as you will see, are much flashier in the wardrobe than BB, so I might even get more crystals and junk on that suit for whatever later show.

6 days baby!

Today - 140.5 lb. Decided to do a 2 day carb deplete tomorrow & Tues to see what that does. Increasing sodium a little and startign the gradual water drop.

And today, aside from relaxing, I am going shopping :)

Shopping was fun - only had an hour because I had to drive up & try on my night show suit. The bottoms were too small so she's redoing them & get them back by Wed. Its fun as shit trying on size 3 jeans!

I increased my sodium a little today -- big difference in vascularity. I think I freaked out a few people at the mall....
 
OK so last nite while my internet connection is dragging, I'm cooking up my meals for the next 2 days, with light salt, as prescribed by los trainer. Just as I am on the last 5 min of broiling the steak, my cell phone goes off. Its the trainer calling to say nix the salt - no salt until later this week. OK. Great. Then my damn smoke alarm goes off because that's what it does when I run my broiler. Dammit. Then my cell phone goes dead because it can't hold a charge anymore.

So after packign away the salted steak & buffalo, I pull out more chicken & buffalo, sans salt. Fire up the broiler again, call the trainer on my land line and get yelled at for being up so late, and then the damn alarm goes off again.

Needless to say, after cooking 4 lbs of buffalo, 2 lbs of steak and chicken, 3 smoke alarms, a dead cell phone and 2x being told I'm up too late, no I didnt' sleep much. Up at 4:30 to head for the gym for an hr of empty stomach cardio, training and my last 2 days of work this week.

I was seriously dragging earlier, but somewhere I found some energy and I feel pretty good right now. It also helps I've got my new size 3 crop pants on ;)

Tonite I head back for posing & routine work, then home for more cardio, see if I need more unsalted food cooked and crash HARD to do it all again tomorrow.

And I"m paying a guy to put me thru this shit. *shakes head and wonders*
 
The shiny blue one is my pre-judge suit. I've got a navy blue sparkly one for the nite show. That's still beign worked on. The bottoms were too small when I tried it on yesterday, so it needs to be remade.

I can walk around all day & spout the virtues of healthy lifestyle, the required discipline & regiment of structured meals, how long to metabolize this & that macronutrient, which cardio type burns more fat, what supplements will support a healthy diet, etc. etc. etc. And then I sit & think about it for a minute, only to arrive at the bottom line --- Gawd I need a life. :lmao:

I dont' think there's any salt "load" -- just lightly salted. I suspect most people spill more salt than I'll be putting on my food.
 
Practiced posing tonite. Couldn't be happier w/ my shape! Posing is startign to feel more natural and everyone is happy! Now if I could just be done w/ that damn colon cleanse. Eek.

Otherwise have a happy nite! 1 more day left of work. Blech.
 
Same comment as last except no more days of work left YAY! I hauled ass out of the office at 5:30 w/ my laptop & didn't look back. NOW the fun begins.

Up to the gym by 6:30. A measly 30 min of walking cardio. Then posing. Posing is going great. Even w/ all the stomach bloat, as soon as I start posing my abs get rock hard. Started work on my 60 sec routine and that should get fine-tuned in the next few days. My music should come back tomorrow w/ the new mix and my nite suit should be ready by tomorrow.

Now comes the weird part. My trainer got tickets to the midnite opening of the new Star Wars movie, so guess where I'll be trying to stay awake tonite at midnite. And somehow I'm still not getting out of heading back to the gym at 5 am for another round of training tomorrow. Go figure.

Then off to a 9:30 am dentist appt because that was the only opening until June. FIgured I shoudl at least have clean teeth for this show :) Then tannign after that, body wrap to see what that does, get my toes done (my right big toe nail split 2/3 of the way down & then got ripped off so I need to get it acrylic'd if I can before the protan goes on). Then first layer of protan at 7:15 pm and then off to bed. (I hope)

WOhHOOOO! I'm gettign all sorts of great responses at the gym and I couldn't be happier. The trainer said if I added 15 lb of muscle or lost 10 lb of muscle I could do national level BB or figure (respectively). I was very happy.

And finally I got a girl lined up to do my hair the morning of the show. That was the one remaining detail that hadn't been covered yet. YAY!

Soo off to bed until Star Wars time :)

Im not worried about the 5 pound comment as much as I am about you doing the movie thing....


but....you ultimately know if its doable.


the timing of the carb-up, ultimately should not depend on how you look imo....especially if he is following the deal you outlined that depletiing isnt necessary before a loading phase...
 
Hi Sassy. Tomorrow is Wednesday and I hope the 'training' your trainer has scheduled for you is no more than the lightest pump up - upper body only....no legs. You shouldn't be doing anymore leg work at all (since this past Sunday at least) and no more cardio. Really you shouldn't be tanning anymore after tonight. You know you and I went back and forth about the whole depletion thing (water/potassium) and the carbs...but I know you want to give the trainer a chance and its not a huge show for you.

Just wanted to make a mention of those few things for you. I want to see you be the best you can be.

A movie at midnight...man I hope those diet suppressants work. :) Take care.

Edit the movie thing. It was the excitement of premier tix to Star Wars.

Not going to the movie. Training is most likely some cardio & work on the routines & posing.
 
Im glad Sis echos my sentoments..this close to a show...its about very very light training....



also - I feel that training DURING the carbup process isnt the best of all ideals
 
I've always done only circuit trainign & cable work the week of. I'm sort of interested in getting some dead lift & ab work in tho -- just haven't done much of that at all.
 
I have been following you and your progress just haven't posted much, but I am leaving for Playa Del Carmen and wanted to tell you b-4 I leave how inspiring you are and wish you all the best of luck (not that you're going to need it) in your comp.!!!! I know you'll do great...you look AMAZING...can't wait to hear all about it.

Most folks stop deadlifts many weeks out from a BB show...chance of injury when lean and too much stress on the CNS, etc. Hopefully today is your last workout. You've probably already done your cardio this morning...I wouldn't have because you want that fluid out of your legs...gravity you know. Stretching and posing should be the only 'work' really and elevating the legs as much as possible from here on out. For women its hard to get those legs to come in tight and keeping them up, etc. will help. Make sure to get yourseld some Ca/Mag supplement (chewable Maalox works). I think you might need it for cramping with all the sodium depletion he's had you doing. I'll be thinking about you and wishing I could be there. Take care.

Let me tell you about THE WAY TO DO IT! A guy who runs a nutrition shop has this set up that is a room w/ mirrors - posing room - w/ a giant suck-up vent, an air compressor and a fan. Got sprayed & dried in 20 min & got to practice posing in a room full of mirrors! First time I've seen my back! Looks pretty damn good! ;)

Should get my PM suit tomorrow morning and still waiting for my final cut of music for the nite show. But all in all, still very pleased and tired. :)

Still looking forward to this weekend so much!

Oh I did get a chance to stop in at the bebe store at the mall ---- eh nuttin special. Might fall back on my own wardrobe..
 
I had to buy some jeans today.......Ive dropped 14 pounds over the last 12 days due to that insane virus I had....Im ready to go...just gotta get a new battery for the digi cam flash

Well, this morning .... 137 lb!

Doing carb up w/ potatos. Excessively boring but cheap & easy I guess.

Protan part 2 in 1 1/2 hrs. Bleh.

Went shopping & dropped some serious coin on go-out clothes. ... OMG. I got the waaaay $$$ crazy too much for ATL but I don't care cuz I don't know anyone here dress w/ gold heels, or the tamer though ab-showing black shorts & halter look. So I've got some options. And the protan won't ruin either outfit.

Hmmm what else. I'm tired but not exhausted. I got pretty deflated from my carb deplete but I'm starting to fill out now. Just waiting to see how my abs come back because my skin got loose again. I got my nite posing suit this morning, its beautiful! I'm getting my music tonite. And one more layer of protan in the morning after posing and gotta get my nails done before I head downtown. And I have to buy more potatos & broccoli, cook up some chicken and look longingly at my one allotted 24 oz bottle of water to get me thru tomorrow.. OMG. I hate water depletions...

But all is good! I'm soooo looking forward to seeing every one but also wish we could do a simulcast w/ Miss24!

been eating 2 oz of potato every 2 hrs since this morning -- so about 200 g, but upping it to 3 oz as of the last 2 meals -- so I think it will be 300 - 350 g carb by the end of it. Sorry I'm trying to get ready to for my next layer of protan between attacks of colon cleanse so I need to go and add up the total amt but its around there.
