Lets see New Orleans play like that @ Soldier field in Janruary in -32 degree weather with 60mph lake michigan winds screeching through4everhung said:new orleans spanked, manhandled and out right embarresed a peaking dallas team
in thier stadium
chicago got muscled around for two long drives by a mediocre st louis team
and benefited by a TD return or two to change the fabric of the game
rex won't win a super bowl
brees can
hard to compare the great 49er teams of the past to a experienceless Saints team with 2 rookie stars and a untested defense4everhung said:new orleans could have scored 70 against a thoroughly beaten and demoralized dallas team
and that team "was" doing good
till new orleans came to town
I don't subscribe to the theory that "defense" wins ballgames
the way I see it if your offense can manhandle their defense and score butt loads of points
well that counts too
Montana-Rice and Young-Rice won like 4 superbowls in this fashion
we willWulfgar said:Lets see New Orleans play like that @ Soldier field in Janruary in -32 degree weather with 60mph lake michigan winds screeching through
Thier defense wont be able to stop a back as big and strong as Benson, jones or peterson.
Brees wont be able to throw the ball for shit in that environment. Especially not with Tommie Harris back for the post season. Anderson, Adewayle, alex brown and harris are a nightmare for ANY passing team.
Bears match up MUCH better vs the saints than the Cowboys did.
also, in the st louis game the bearss O scored on 4 drives of like 94, 74, 55 and 75 yards. Even without the TD returns, st louis D couldnt do shit to them. They still would have racked up 40+and probably allowed less due to less TOP for the Rams Offense
which leads me to my next point4everhung said:we will
I think new orleans is the stronger team and it's populated by younger talent
and a much better QB
new orleans can go to chicago no matter what temperature and beat the bears
the bears are kinda winging it
new orleans is peaking/gelling and will shove it down chicago's throught
urlacher get's pancaked by the NO OL
hard to compare a bear team that's won how many post-season games?Wulfgar said:hard to compare the great 49er teams of the past to a experienceless Saints team with 2 rookie stars and a untested defense
what brutal pass rush?Wulfgar said:which leads me to my next point
Dont Smoke Crack!!!
lol, the bears match up better to the saints than anyone. Brutal pass rush, top passing defense(and overall), most INT's, punishing running attack to eat up the clock. Best special teams player in the NFL. Best field goal kicker in the NFL
plus home field advantage throughout!(barring a miracle they lose 2 of 3 of thier last games agaisnt trash teams)
and did you see how good rex played tonight..
bears are a very very tough team to beat when they dont turn over the ball
NO has also lost to teams built just like the bears(Baltimore, Pitt, carolina). Teams like the bears spell death for the saints. they cant handle agressive defenses. Brees is only good in the pocket, if he has to run he is trash.4everhung said:hard to compare a bear team that's won how many post-season games?
new orleans has the most productive offense in the NFL
before the dallas game
that was supposed to be a "man up" game for a motivated dallas squad on sunday night
no man-up happened
new orleans has the hungry young talent and it was fucking silly
smurfy even noticed
and you calling temperature conditions necessary for a chicago victory
means you are beat
these guys are highly paid pros
I dont think so4everhung said:what brutal pass rush?
chicago is a very weak 11-2 team
they go down, most likely their first post-season game at home
how's it shape up?
does new orleans get to go to chicago first?
