i am a cooking idiot. Can any one tell me how or if i can cook salmon in the microwave and how long should i cook it per ounce. Also i have frozen chicken breasts how long should i cook it in the micro do i have to defrost it first. thanks

I wouldn't cook either one in the microwave....I only use my microwave for defrosting & heating up/boiling water.....I don't like the way meats come out in the 'wave -- dry, rubbery & it doesn't brown well....

Defrost chix in the 'wave & slice into strips then pan fry, same with salmon or bake either one.

I cook 6 large breasts on the forman ed and it takes including defrosting in the microwave about 25 min. I love my foreman!

as a professional chef :artist: i condone what jens has stated

cooking protiens in a microwave is a sin DRY DRY DRY
it ruins the protien and the bioavailability is less
besides salmon should be served medium rare or medium
never fully cooked
DRY DRY DRY
