Roy Jones Jr VS Tito Ortiz

I HEARD HIS MUSIC A COUPLE OF UFC'S AGO BUT I'M SURE IT CHANGED. I DOWNLOADED THE FIGHT WITH SHAMROCK OFF OF KAZAALITE AND IT HAD NOW SOUND. WHAT WAS HIS MUSIC THIS TIME??? I KNOW HE CAME IN WITH DURST.

KAYNE

I was in denial after that fight,It was true about the look in his eyes.
The fight only came to because of pride, yes Tito flipped him off but he tried to prove he was king shit but isnt anymore

Kayne I believe it was Break stuff by Limp Bizkit

ISNT SHAMROCK 40 YEARS OLD NOW. HE IS FAR FROM HIS PRIME OF @31-32. TITO IS IN HIS PRIME NOW.

BREAK STUFF IS A BAD ASS SONG. MAKES YOU WANT TO HURT SOMEBODY!!! OR LIFT HEAVY WEIGHTS. LOL

KAYNE

Kayne,
It was a computerized voice saying, "Tito's in the house". It was hot. He did use the Fred Durst music still though. You're right about the feeling when it's played. I feel so much aggression with, "give me somethin' to break".

Oak,
You are right. I was in denial too until I saw the fight over and over. I still can not belive it but I am forced to. He is a true champion and it would have been intersting to see if he would have fought Shamrock when he was all sauced up and 25 not 39. There is always an argument though. Tito is the man now, bar none.

POLISH
YEAH, I HEARD THAT A WHILE BACK. HE USED IT BEFORE. I THINK IT IS FRED'S VOICE MANIPULATED WITH A COMPUTER. HE HAS BEEN HANGING WITH FRED FOR A WHILE NOW.

I WAS KINDA HOPING THAT SHAMROCK WOULD WIN BUT IN MY MIND I KNEW HE WOULDNT. I WAS LOSING RESPECT FOR TITO CUZ OF THE WAY HE WAS ACTING TOWARDS THE WHOLE THING. BUT AFTER THE FIGHT, HE SAID ALL PROBLEMS WITH SHAMROCK HAVE BEEN SOLVED, "WE SOLVED THEM LIKE MEN". AFTER I HEARD THAT, I GAINED THE RESPECT BACK FOR HIM.

YOURE RIGHT THOUGH, SHAMROCK IN HIS PRIME, AND TITO NOW, THAT WOULD BE A BAD ASS FIGHT. I THINK TITO HAS LOST 2 FIGHTS. ONE OF THEM WAS TO FRANK SHAMROCK. WHO WAS THE OTHER ONE TO? I DO KNOW IT WAS A WHILE BACK WHEN TITO WASNT ALL THAT EXPERIENCED. DAMN, NOW I'M HYPED UP TO SEE LIDELL AND ORTIZ. THAT IS GOING TO BE A GOOD FIGHT. LIDELL DOESNT LOOK LIKE MUCH WHEN YOU SEE HIM BUT HE IS A BAD MOFO. ASTLEAST HE LOOKED OUT OF SHAPE WHEN I SAW HIM LAST YEAR BUT STILL BEAT THE HELL OUT OF SOMEONE!!!

Ralph Gracie has previously challenged Roy to a fight. Roy said he wasn't opposed to it, but didn't see the point. No money.

Roy vs. Tito ends the same way 90% of the time. Tito takes Roy down, pushes him to the fence and pounds his way to victory.

You have to give Roy a punchers chance.

If you really want to make it interesting, have a 30 or 45 second stand up rule.

Z,
Quality points my friend. But who is to say that Roy doesn't have any kickboxing experience. You never know and I think it would be too one sided if the rounds were 30-45 second rounds. I think Roy would win for sure. He is too quick and definitely could evade the onslaught by Ortiz. Very creartive. I never knew about the Gracie challenge. Jones had to have been scared. Hiding behind $.

Kayne,
Frank is his little brother. Not exactly a little guy though. He started competing in his late twenties. Had a good fight against Bas Rutten. He beat Tito. Yes, Tito was less experienced but that's how it goes. It's all about timing. When Tito Fought Ken, he had been training with some very highly regarded professionals. Moreso than Mr. Shamrock. Lidell is a 6-2 205 man of intensity. He won't stop and he can't stop. Excellent striker and a rock head. I love that fight bc of the experience in both men. What a spectacle it will be, if it happens.

Lidell had a rather lackluster performance against Murillo Bustamante, whom he had a significant weight advantage over.

Lidell has a incredible sprawl. If he keeps it standing he could beat Tito. If it goes to the ground it is going to be like all of Tito's fights.

Does Frank Shamrock still fight? I remember Frank v. Tito. Frank got into him pretty good if I remember right. Did it go the distance or was it stopped in the late 4th or 5th round? Frank was a good fighter, what happened to him?

Big A,
fundamental response. How do you think Roy would fare against a couple knees into the top of his head? Would he tap out or keep fighting?

Notorious,
I think you're right. Both fighters would have to compromise to make the "fight" even. If they didn't if would give people like Larry Merchant a chance to make a parody out of it. It would be a great fight, however, I still want to see Felix fight De La Hoya. Then, the winner fights Roy in a non title bout.

yeah polish i think it would be the same result. A few knees and its over, I mean im a big guy but when i spar with my buddy who is a trained fighter in jeet kun do, hapkido (sp?), among other things when he shoots me i go down and unless you can put a guillotine on youre fucked.
