Reverse Hyper ?

GRIMMER

New member
O.K. i'm thinking of buying iether a reverse hyper or a glute ham. I would really like the Hyper but htey are kind of picey. The question is has anyone used the regular reverse hyper model that dave sell and does it compare to the Pro model. Its like 500 buck cheaper but is it as effective.

i have the regular reverse hyper and it is very sturdy. i have had 500lbs on it with no problems. also the pad is wide and comfortable

the other day i saw a home model in the gym. it didnt look as big.
you should call dave tate and ask. he wont bullshit you.

Not sure what your setup is at home, but in my opinion it is easier to construct a makeshift reverse hyper than a glute/ham raise. Most of the ghetto GHR setups are hard on the knees and not as effective.

Grimmer, I ordered the reverse hyper pro on the advice of a
guy that I think is an old friend of yours, Will R. He told me
that I would quickly get to weights that were to heavy for
the regular hyper thus making it unstable. I went with the
pro on that advice.

THanks Gene O That sounds like a good reason for the uppgrade.

Hell ya, i Used to work with Will and still talk with him every few weeks or so. He is the one that introduced me to Powerlifting and Westside.I'm Gonna be out in Denver/Boulder June 20th or so for a few weeks on Vaca. I've been trying to get him on this board but he is pretty buissy with work. Anyway tell him i said whats up and maybe we can train in June or something.

Grimmer, look me up when you get here. My home gym should
be about finished then. You are welcome to train with us.

Have a friend who built one for a big guy buddy of mine here on the boards...nice and for $600. I think he said that the might be able to build one a little cheaper now. Made this one for taller guys, a step to help get on top, and THICK padding.
