Refeed calorie and timing question?

During a refeed, will there be much difference in boosting leptin and the thyroid if calories are consumed in the span of a few hours, versus over the course of a day? In other words, is consuming 2000 calories worth of carbs and protein just as effective when eaten in 3 hours, as 2000 calories would be over 16?

I'm pretty sure I know what the answer will be, I'm just curious about the length of time it would take to get a leptin and thyroid boost; all other caloric and macronutrient factors being equal. Thanks in advance. :)

Hmmmm, that's a thinker. I had to sit down and think about this, then I went and did a little research. Last time I remember about 3years ago, there was a big fad on this board about 1meal/deals.

Here is the scoop, first you probably can refill almost all leptin levels, while refilling liver glycogen (restoring t4-t3) conversion, but you will NOT be able to restore one of the most important things, MUSCLE GLYCOGEN. This is a misconception by most, but I would say there is no real science to prove "yay or nay". You have to be aware that after about 500cal. the liver will surely be almost full, then most of the glucose could theoretically be transported into fat cells, lypolisis. It would cause a insulin spike, creating anabolism in the fat cell and in the muscle cell, meaning you'll gain fat.

Overall, I think, this being a lot topic and all, you should NOT stick to one meal. It's just not going to workout. Hence, you can see when people on this board try to argue the idiotic fact that calories in vs. calories out is the what it's all about, they are morons. So, 1000cal. in muscle proteins is the same as 1000cal. in fat stores? NO! ....

Conclusion, you would get MUCH better results by refeeding over a 16hr period.

Hello all: I had a refeed-cheat meal today of about 2500 extra calories over my average calories. I hope that i won't gain any weight from it. It was during a 1 hour period.
