I guess there is such thing as cardio abuse, eh
But YES ... those thoughts are still there ... you know the ones that gravitate toward engaging in the occasional 'cardio fest' for excess cal burning during (or for) holidays &/or special occasions ... and my random thought is there is nothing wrong with that either. If it brings piece of mind & makes a person physically feel better by doing something like this before or after a splurge then more power to ' em... That's not enough time to do any major damage to, well, anything that I can think of worth freaking out about. It's when such patterns like that become more routine do I see it becoming a problem (to add on to the excellent points you made above).
