it will be freezing out there, especially wearing only a singlet and short shorts oh well it'll be fun

well it was cold, very, I got a lot of "that guy must be crazy" looks from a lot of people, when they saw me in my singlet and shorts with temperatures in the 20's, my hands were numb by the time the gun went off, if only the rest of my body would have been so lucky. My quads were still a little bit sore from a workout at the beginning of the week. At the gun I went out kind of fast, figuring that I would get passed by a bunch of people in this crowd of 400 people, but I didn't, I kept going, faster, faster, although nowhere near the front, I pushed it as hard as I could, first it hit my lungs, they felt like they were deflated or something, then it hit my quads, and then it hit the rest of me, square in the chest, with 1/4 of a mile to go, I gave it everything I had, from my numb feet, to my swimming head. I saw someone in front of me, and I concentrated on him, for those few seconds, I wanted him dead, just to drop so I could pass him, I pushed on , and passed him, with 200 meters to go I was having trouble breathing, I sprinted with the little I had left, my lungs, begging me to stop, my legs, well Ireally couldn't feel them, but I'm sure they were begging me to stop too, i crossed the finish line in 20:16, an okay time, but it felt like it should have been much faster, the guy in front of me turned to congratulte me, but all I could do was wheeze at him, all I wanted to do was lie down and never get back up, but I had to see my place, 28 really? I must've counted wrong, so I counted again, and got the same number, and I got 9th in my age group, so in the end it was worth it, all thatr pain and suffering, was worth this incredible(to me at least) place wow 28 out of 400
