I'm working on the mind/muscle connection. I put the mental image in my mind of how it's supposed to look (proper form), then suck in the abs, breathe in, exhale on the exertion. The Triceps said "I don't wanna do that so pfffffft!"

I'm not sure how long I get to watch the baby but if it's not raining later my exercISE will be mowing the yard for the first time this season. That's almost an hour of constant exercisefd

hahaha she's so excited she keeps banging on the keyboard......

Well I borrowed a digital camera from the neighbor. (He loaned it for an hour. :rolleyes: Don't ask)

Turned all the lights on to avoid using the flash and tried to take some pics in front of the full-length mirror. Didn't work very well, flash still went off every time. The pics weren't very good and what defininition I do have doesn't come thru. I even tried using the zoom but no luck. I guess I'll have to wait till I can get someone to operate the camera and there's no way in h*** I'd ask him to do it.

I didn't get the yard mowed or make it to the gym. I DID get the shopping done and I didn't buy any more of the evil peanut butter and I managed to get some laundry done. I developed a nasty headache and realized it was because I hadn't eaten almost all day.

Mom found a deleted picture or two "just lyin around on the harddrive" yesterday. :verygood:

Mom quietly & calmly confronted 18 yr old daughter & boyfriend about pics.

Daughter and boyfriend became very very pale & breathing became somewhat rapid. :worried:

Mom thinks daughter will now take non-porn before pics. :evil:




She just keeps forgetting that I AM the Queen B*tch in this house. Hahaha QUE-B :p
 
I remembered to eat today and also mowed the yard. That's about an hour of cardio. I mow rather fast & I was trying to beat the rain. I got a little wet but not much.

First mowing of the season and I had forgotten how much I like the smell of fresh cut grass.

Yard looks like crap so I know that there's going to be some extra work needed this spring to get it back in shape. Winter is hard on my yard because the snowplows throw all the snow, salt and sand up in the yard and the salt kills the grass. Happens every year. Lather, rinse, repeat. ;)

Fourth.....Most digital camera's have a timer so you can take pics of yourself (that's how I do mine)

I'm having trouble with this because even though I know her motivation (I won't do everything for her and the baby while she's out running around with friends) Neither of them do without. I still feel like I've failed at being a mom because my child doesn't want to be with me. :bawling:

Since she's 18 I can't really say no anyway.

I love her and I love my grandbaby and if she does move across town to her dad's I will miss them terribly. (especially the grandbaby :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: )

I'm trying to find the positive in this but it's eluding me. The thought of more gym time isn't helping. In theory I could go twice a day and kick my own ass into shape, but alas, I can't find comfort in that at the moment.

Woke up late, didn't sleep well. My legs are a little sore today but not too much. The back of the knees feel weird but we'll see how they feel after a shower. Today is BACK DAY !!!!!!!!!

OMG as the day wears on the more sore my legs become. It's not the "I ripped something" kind of pain it's the "omg I forgot I have muscle there" kind of pain :worried:

It's all good because it means 3 things:

1) I'm not dead yet.
2) Pain is just weakness leaving the body.
3) "A woman of my age" can still get into shape.

Calves are still screamin but I'm trying not to listen. It takes me a minute to get 'em moving after I've been sitting. It's all good cuz if goals were always easy to reach we wouldn't want them so badly.

He moved a woman in and she stayed for less than 3 months. I ran into her today and she told me that the reason she never pursued a friendship with me was because he convinced her that I was a lesbian, that my boyfriend was "just a cover" AND that I had commented to him about how I said I wanted her. ROFLMFAO!!!

I was VERY close to offering her $20 to park her car at my house over night. She wouldn't have to be there, just park the car out there before dark so there's dew on the windows when he gets home around midnite.

***I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 157 again***




Serious question:

When I work out I try to use the heaviest weight that I can correctly manage for the # of set/reps that I'm supposed to be doing and I try to push to the point of failure without causing injury. My muscles are usually tight & tired for a day or two after the workout.

--To me tight & tired means I can feel the muscle(s) that I worked, they're tight, tired and some people would call that "a little sore" but it doesn't really impact my day to day life.
--To me hurting & sore means that I can barely move/use the muscle(s) that I worked and it makes it difficult to function normally.


If I'm doing things correctly and not pushing too hard, What's the general or average number of days that my muscles should be tight & tired but not hurting & sore?

Soreness, and the like.... That is completely dependant on the individual... after about a month, this things you described above, for me, went more unnoticable ... and more of I "awww I can feel i got a w/o " feeling as opposed to "I felt like I got rode by a bull after that leg workout ..."

Give it time... drink fluids, maybe G & C w/ MSM, other types of therapies

Are you familiar with DOMS?

OK so I bought a cheapo $15 digital cam. I knew that it wouldn't be wonderful but I just wanted it to work so I could take a few pics. I turned on every light in the living room and even put the light right next to my legs and the cam still won't take a pic. "Not enough light."

I'm going to try tomorrow during daylight and open the blinds, the door, etc. etc. and I'll see if it will work or not.

I asked her flat out and her response was "I don't have time to talk right now.....blah blah blah...." I love her very much but Im over all the drama. I don't live my life on a stage and as much as I love her I refuse to allow her to drag me onto hers.
