Push ups

I never do pushups. I have used the peck deck on chest days to superset with bench, but that is the only thing I would ever use it for.

You would be better off doing dumbel flys or something.

no. push up is approximatly the same weight as bench pressing 75% of your body weight. im 250 x 75%= 187. i used 180 for 10 sets of 3 reps for my speed bench. so pushups wouldnt do a great deal..........

........ however....... active recovery is different. i do a pushups for active recovery if im sore beyond belief.

i also do pushups if im overly sore. but never in a workout. supersetting pushups is for people who like to show off how many they can do.

I pop out pushups before and after kickboxing training. I train abut 5 days a week... use pushups as a warm up and cool down.

Pushups to me are like walking. I can walk everyday. I don't just only walk on Leg Day.

I do push-ups sometimes but i use them only to gage my workout i know going in fresh i can do70-75 push-ups nonstop but at the end of my chest workout i better only get 2-4 if i get anymore i know i didn't hit my workout hard enough and its time to push myself harder :mix:

WORLD RECORDS !!!
30 minutes: 2,354; Rolf Heck (GER), 13 Nov 2000
1 hour: 3,877; Bijender Singh (IND), 20 Sept 1988
non-stop: 10,507; Minoru Yoshida (JAP), Oct 1980

Those are amazing...

I do them once or twice a week now...just so I can "show off how many I can do."

Just kidding, not to show off but because I don't want to be one of those girls who has to do them the sissy way!

I perform knuckle push ups (on the hardwood floor). I'm working on explosiveness now. I feel it will help assist my bench; you know, to overcome "humps". And it's working.

Right now I'm following Chad Waterbury's "100-reps" program for my pushups. Oh yeah, much fun;)
