You've had breast reduction right??

Ok here's what I'm doing I'm going to see the plastic surgeon next week and I'm super nervous...LOL.....

DO I have to pose topless for them at the consultation?? I'm just really insecure about my body right now it isn't even funny......I don't know what to expect....

Sorry I didn't see this till now. I had a lift with implants, basically it was a reduction of natural tissue though since I came out about the same size.

Yes, you have to take your top off, but try not to be insecure. These are doctors and they've seen it all. They are there to help you. They will likely get out a tape measurer and move your boobs but any good doctor will help you maintain as much of your modesty as possible. There should also be a female attendant in the room with you (just like when you go to the GYN).

I used to be very modest but after having my daughter I lost it when it comes to doctors. They can poke and prod me and I know they're just doing their job, it's not fun time for them.

Let me know how your visit went.

I had a breast consult as I also want a lift with implants....... Yes you take off your shirt & the Dr. will touch your breasts, hold them, measure, etc...... He may also take photos then or he may wait till later..... The PS takes before & after photos....

There should be a female in the room with the Dr. also.....

Also, make sure you are comfortable with your PS -- if you don't like his attitude or bedside manner, get another consultation....

Curious on how much a lift with implants is. I don't need them now but I am pretty sure I will in the future.

Just a lift right not a lift with implant? If the implants are coverd I better start bulking :lmao:

Nope no implant covered unless it's deemed "nessesary" LOL...

SO if he gets into my breasts and there's no breast tissue left then he can put an implant in it's sooo confusting LOL....

Some insurance companies will cover reductions so your PS would have to call it such. A lift is purely cosmetic. Doubt you'll be able to get the implants paid for.

Mine was $8k and the lift had to be redone after complications from infection. The second time around there was no infection but I still had awful scaring because my body rejects the disolvable stitches and doesn't break them down right. Sooooooo...when I get my tummy tuck I will have the lift done one final time, this time using regular sutures that don't disolve. I've had 3 surgeries in the last 2 yrs using regular sutures and no problems at all with them so this is what I'll have to go with for all future surgeries.

One thought on combining the lift and implants...since you're needing a lift I highly suggest the implants go under the muscle or else you may sag again in just a few yrs.

I like my doctor but I've found another PS who did 2 other surgeries on me (melanoma removal and repaired the nerves in my hand after I cut myself) and will go to him for a consult on my tuck and lift redo. Hubby and I were discussing the first PS yesterday and we just think after the problems with the first surgery he should have known to go with regular sutures. I'm also not quite satisfied with the lift and my nipples seem to be a little too close towards the center of my chest, nothing very noticible unless I wear a demi-bra, then the areola wind up poking out a bit as I move around through the day. I just had to buy some regular bras to stop this from happening.

Ouch Puddles that sucks.......

I know I'm fine with the invisible stiches had them with my c-sections......

The lift will be covered as it's part of the reduction he "has" to reduce the skin.....

He's worked with OHIP plenty of times and knows how to get around the coverage. I may just have to pay for my pain pump for after LOL......

But the appointment was great, he said I defintly have neck damage from my breasts...that I should have had the reduction years ago.....
