Psoriasis & AS

Anyone else have Psoriasis and taking AS? Every time I cycle my scalp & facial hair flake like fucking crazy & get irritated as hell. Just wanted to see if this is normal. I already have to use Denorex on a daily basis to control it due to psoriasis & it doesn't flake but when I'm on AS holy shit, it's fucking snowing. I've tried dovonex scalp treatment & like I said, use Denorex on a daily basis. Dovonex has a lot of alcohol in it & it feels like scalp is on fire for about 5 min. Plus it doesn't seem to be doing shit. Usually the tanning bed helps a bit but, not this time. Thanx, Supertech

Psoriasis sucks ass. I find that if I'm on AAS and DON'T goto the gym, it flares up like a bitch. My scalp isn't THAT bad though. I have it on my leg as well.

ONE of the causes that it flares up can be due to stress related topics. That is how some people's bodies deal with stress, through this fucking little "issue" we both have. If I am stressed, 2 weeks after I'm calm.. it shows up. It's no big deal though. I use "Nioxin" shampoo (helps stop DHT conversion as well), and they have this conditioner which helps with scalp problems (dandruff and psoriasis)... works well... It's OTC, and can be found in some salons.

Basically if I'm on cycle.. and I don't use the Nioxin, and miss more then one day at the gym.. it shows up. My suggestion KEEP GOING. Also, if need be hit the doctors and get a script shampoo AND/OR topical ointment if it shows up on your hairline on your scalp or anywhere on your skin.

Hey bro, I use Nizoral and it works good. You can get the 2% Nizoral by prescription. I get the 1% Nizoral at Wal-Mart. It helps block the DHT so it helps prevent hair loss from AS and it stops dandruff associated with psoriasis.

I've been using denorex everyday actually twice a day for te past 10 years & have no hairloss but, I'm not prone. How often do you use Nizoral / Nioxin (are they the same)? I think I may call my doc & have them prescribe some for me. My scalp & goatee are crazy bad right now, it hurts like hell to the touch sometimes.I don't flake everywhere though because I use hairgell. Dep because it has no alcohol or fragrances in it.

I dont have the prescription 2%, I use the 1% that you can get over the counter and the directions say to shampoo with it 3 - 4 times a week. That's what I do.

I tried that Tgell crap. That's exactly what it is, crap!
