Proviron in PCT?

psychedout

I've heard recently of a few individuals using Proviron during PCT to help keep libido going strong and reduce crash. Now I was always under the assumption that it is suppressive of the HPTA. Whats the verdict on this?

So which way does it go?

The reason I always thought it was supressive is its closely structured like DHT and DHT is very supressive of the HPTA.

DHT also helps regulate the HPTA axis.

I've done it for PCT and it worked great. I got on another cycle about 8 weeks after that so who knows if I would of crashed. I'd like to think that it's fine for PCT, but I still can't totally convince myself that's it's a good practice because I've heard good evidence for both sides. I'm sure it helps you recover in some ways, but probably hurts you in other ways at the same time.

I've seen members run it PCT and have problems. DJSF couldn't recover on it, had problems.

Well the other night when I was supposed to be finding research articles for my term paper in my sports psychology class, I found it more interesting to find articles on steroids lol, so here is something I came up with on proviron, since I was wondering too about running it during pct. I had a thread awhile back on opinions of it in pct, but I chose not to run it just in case. According to this study, individuals that had low or normal LH and FSH levels experienced no decrease in these levels, although the individuals with higher LH and FSH levels did experience a slight decrease. It appears to me that since when coming off cycle LH and FSH would be quite low, although we want them high to aid a quick recovery, it seems to me one would be able to achieve a certain degree of recovery, not 100%, but I would think it would help the person get over that "hump" so to speak and avoid the crash possibly. Here is the study:

BTW, the dosages they used ranged from 100-150mg/day, and the study lasted for 12 months, so I am betting it is fairly safe to assume that a dosage of 25-50mg/day for 3-4 weeks would not be too suppressive and possible to recover to a degree during pct. The only real way to find out is to experiment with yourself because everyone is different, although the best idea is probably not to run it in pct, its worth a shot for those willing to risk it.
