Protein shake as a breakfast replacement?

Some days, like today, I do not have the chance to have breakfast, and at most I get the chance to have some protein shake. Is it ok to replace the breakfast with a protein shake from time to time? Also, in what time interval it is best to have breakfast after waking up?

Breakfast is arguably the most important meal of the day. You are coming off a long overnight fast and are fueling your body for the day. A protein shake is fine to consume for breakfast, but you also want to include in some high quality carbohydrates, some healthy fat and some fruits/vegeatbles.

What I would do is buy a high quality blender and blend together the following:
2 scoops of a high quality protein powder such as wheytobuildmuscle from n2bm.com
oatmeal
natural almond butter or peanut butter
frozen fruit
banana
ice
chia/flax seeds
spinach/kale

It'll be really nice tasting and be a much more complete breakfast.

I recommend having breakfast around 30-45 minutes after waking up. Wake up, drink 500mL of water, and then make your shake while you let the water digest. Once the shake is blended, have at it!
