Protein intake off-cycle

We all know that you have greater nitrogen retention when on the gear, so much less protein is wasted. But I was just wanting to know how much protein some of you ingest while off-cycle, considering you do go off cycle from time to time, and if you see any benefits from it (keeping it real high all the time). I ask this because more of it is wasted while off-cycle, and was wondering if some of you think it would be better to bulk up with carbs and keep my protein intake just moderately high (around 250-300 grams) until my next cycle when I would go up (around 400+ grams).

On or Off cycle I eat 2 grams per pounds of body weight. I see what you are saying and it makes sence but this is the way I have always done it and it works good for me.

damn bro how do u manage to eat that much protein?

Easy....Shakes, Tuna, Fish, Chicken, Red Meats, Peanut butter, ect.... I eat about 60+ grams every 2 or so hours and take Ginger root to help absorb more. I have never had a problem with protein farts before either ;)

Do you know how much stress you put on your organs to try to digest that much protein...your body can digest at the most 45g per meal ,lets say you want 2g per pound and you weight 250lbs that = 500 gr of protein ,so it will take you 11 meals and a total of 22 hours giving it at least 2 hrs of digestion to really take the protein, and if your doing it in 6 meals your just wasting your money and putting your kidneys in stress. Just an opinion.:) I do 2g per kilogram or try to take 45g with each meal or shake I take.

I do not weight 250pounds lol (I wish) and it has never been proven that 45 grams is the exact amount of protein that someone can digest. Everyone is diffrent, some may be able to only digest 30 grams and other may be able to do more.

Hey M18 whats the deal with that ginger root is it as papaya to help in digestion?

Macro posted a great article on it a while back with plenty of help info on how it works. It was a great thread. I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

I dunno guys. My weight goes up quick and I take in 200g of protein and like 3500-4000 calories, I went from 185lbs to 220lbs in 4 months.... my first AS cycle just started 14 days ago also!
