If I get flovored protein, but not sweetened, will that be enough for the protein to not taste like ass?

last time I got some vanilla flavored whey and I also had it sweetened, but it was way too sweet so I'm hoping flavor, but no sweetner will be OK.

dude i am allergic to sweeteners so i cant have them. i got the whey and casein in chocolate, no sweeteners. whey was not that bad, casein is pretty bad. try the tropical flavors if you ahven done the order.the whey actually is pretty good, its just the heinous taste of casein that sucks.

I bought vanilla flavored protein from Protein Factory and it was bland to say the least. It mixes well with milk, water etc....but flavor-wise it's lacking.

I always order from protein factory.com.

My favorite choice is chocolate penta protein sweetened with Splenda.


It's perfect for me! I just bought 10 lbs.

I've had both flavors of the PF CFM Whey and yes the vanilla is wayyyy too sweet with splenda.

I've also had chocolate unsweetened and yes it is good as the whey is sweet itself
If you go with anything other than whey you will need sweetener.

I may try the vanilla whey without sweetener. I bet that would be good..

I've used the Whey for years and never had a bad tasting batch...
Too sweet but not bad..

Was it the Casi maybe ?

I would..
Simply because "anyones" caseinate tastes NOT Good, compared to whey...

If I want slow absorb I go with Whey and powdered Egg or minimal Soy or Meat like tuna as I cannot drink casei..

call me a puss if you want..

Oh Also, Splenda is one of the SWEETEST tasting sweeteners if that makes sense.
Maybe try one of the others like nutrasweet or sorbital..

And the more % of cas you get the worst it will taste.. You gotta hold you nose to drink 100% cas.. Anything more than 50% cas is barely drinkable to me..

I ordered vanilla Pre Bed Time Formula whey with splenda from trueprotein.com, good stuff and not overly sweet. They have a choice of flavor methods and I went with BSL system.

sore arms, unless there is a reason you cant have sweeteners then get them for the caseinate, i got it without them and it tastes like ass. the whey is not bad but casein is terrible.get the sweeteners

it was casein that i had gotten, stuff tasted like shit and wouldnt mix at all. Trueprotien.com has good stuff, as well as allthewhey.com
