do you guys take weight gainers or protein shakes while on. Optimum nutrition whey protein is 130 cals per serving which isnt jack. What are some high cal protein powders.

most weight gainers are crap.... full of sugars and empty calories.... you're better off mixing some whey protein with EFA powder (or flax or olive oils) ... or mix in a blender your protein, oatmeal and a banana or berries.... a much healthier way to gain your calories... peanut or almond butter is good too.....

I like Muscle Milk blended with water... it's about 350 calories per shake... mix it with lowfat milk and you got 640 calories

i like GNC weight Gainer 2200 GOLD....Its got both clean and dirty cals..... I used it, and gained 30+ pounds with AAS...and only lost 4 pounds. The lable calls for 3 scoops, but i used 1 scoop, 1 scoop of whey and 1 scoop of muscle milk..........Lasts forever doin that, well atleast a month. Ive heard also by adding peanut butter and honey to a protein mix will make it into a gainer......Do what you feel is easiest. I had great results with GNC WG2200

That stuff is garbage but at least you used it a little smarter then the directions tell you to. Taking 2200 calories at one time is absolutely fucking stupid, unless you're looking to put on fat.

right now im using two scoops optimum whey, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup oats, 4 big ass strawberries, a handful of raspberries and about a 1/3 of a cup of cottage cheese. I mix all this up in a big jar and blend it with a cuisinart hand held blender i got a BestBuy. I would strongly suggest bros go get one its so much easier than breaking out the blender. Im guessing this is around 600-700 cals what do you bros think? I do this once in the morning and once about 45min after I workout. Is this too many cals in one sitting?

700 cals is definitely not too much if you're trying to bulk. You might actually want to bump it up a bit. I'm a hard gainer also. To bulk I need to have AT LEAST 4000 cals per day. I try to keep it closer to 5000 per day though.

Im also taking ginger root with my shakes. I hear that it enables one to digest 70-80 grams of protein in one sitting. Is this true bcuz the 2 scoops of whey is 48 grams plus the oats plus the 2 eggs and the cottage cheese. So my shakes are probabley close to 75 grams.

ehhh... you may get a few that will disagree.... but your body can only use 40-50 grams of protein per sitting, every 2-3 hours.... anything more than that is wasted.... no matter what digestive aid you use, you're not going to utilize that much protein
