Prohormones for women

Rasta,

Many women (myself included) found hormonal birth control to be a real roadblock to muscle gain and fat loss. It made me gain weight (fat) in spite of increased exercise and tightened diet. When I stopped the Pill, the weight came off. Magic? I don't think so :). Women who've taken Depo have described it as "fat in a syringe".

I'm not a doctor, but I just thought I'd post about my experience with the Pill. Not only did it make me gain fat, it made me an emotional roller coaster (and this was on several different varieties of the "low dose" Pill). It may be OK doing what you're considering, but the idea of mixing all those hormones (Depo+prohormones+anti-estros) gives me the willies.

Good info FF. My girlfriend had the same effects from depo. "Fat in a bottle", LOL! That's about right. The shit made her gain about 15 lbs and she stayed on it for about 8 months, though she enjoyed the lack of the monthly visitor. 'Course, working your ass off to loose that weight gain probably wasn't worth it.

I've heard other women state the same problem, but after staying on depo for 1+ yrs they lost the fat with little effort. These may not be typical results though.

Based on FF bringing up that point, I'd definately suggest talking to your doc about all this first. Unfortunately, many doctors don't have (or care to have, it seems) all the facts on prohormones and AS. Because of this, some tend to wave it off and refuse to even help you. Hopefully your doctor is more open-minded and knowledgeable.
