Prohormone Routine Status

Weapon X

New member
Well, I am back from vacation and finally over that dang cold, and so it is time to GET ON WITH IT! (I began this program on Monday, August 12th, and I still have a nasty cough (coupled with asthma) that's interfering with my sleep, though.)

I had my wife take my Before pictures this past Sunday (August 12th, 2001), and (as I don’t feel like getting flamed until after I’ve completed this 8-week routine) I will post them after I am done, along with the After pics.
(P.S. – Does anyone else’s significant other think it’s funny that you take before and after pics?)

Stats: I am 5’5’’ and weigh approximately 150 lbs. (according to the scale at my gym, anyway. The scale at my doc's office says 155.) at around 17% bodyfat. (Not very impressive, I know – that’s why I’m working on it!)

Goals: Mass, mass, mass. As a short-term goal, I’d like to hit 170 lbs. (Also, I’d like to cut down to single-digit bf, but not until I bulk up with some more good solid muscle.)

History, I’ve been working out, off and on (mostly off) for a few years. I started with a 3-day/week routine, training whole body 3x weekly.

I finally woke up to the fact that I need to get more serious, and I am starting a 4 day split this week. (After all: They say that if you keep doing what you're doing, you'll get the results you've always gotten!)

Mon – Chest & Tris
Tues – Back & Bis
Wed – Rest
Thurs – Shoulders, Calves, Abs
Fri - Legs

Supplements: I’m all natty for now (as should be evident from my less-than-stellar stats), and am supplementing with the Mass Quantities Testosterone Cyclone, as outlined on the MQ site.

I’ve seen lots of arguments, pro and con, about prohormones, and this thread shouldn’t be the place for more of those arguments. I had very good results (great strength gains and 5 lbs. weight gain) with Norabol within a month, so I have been having good results and am looking forward to continued success.

I'll continue to post regarding my progress until the end of 8 weeks, at which time the results will be evident, for better or ill.

Peace,
Weapon X

Good luck bro. So your basically supplementing with 4/5-AD and creatine for the 1st 5wks, then adding in tribulus & chrysin. You might want to consider altering the stack a bit and tossing in 500mg+ 19-nordiol/day or a transdermal...just a suggestion. With the Testosterone Cyclone stack, you're getting a total of 600mg 4-AD & 300mg 5-AD. Since the 5-AD is mainly used to enhance the effectiveness of the 4-AD, if you're really wanting to be agressive, you can afford to bump up your PH intake. Again, I'm just making a suggestion and only you can decide how much is enough for you.

I'm on the "Muscle Explosion Cycle" and I altered it slightly by skipping week #2 and jumping straight from week #1 to week #3. I didn't feel the need of an extra week of "taking it easy" and wanted to get with the program. I'm now on my week #3 (MQ's week #4) and am up to taking 1200mg of 19-nor, 600mg of 4-AD and 300mg of 5-AD. Man, I hope this shit works! :D

Just make sure you're eating heavy, training hardcore and following your cycle. I'm with ya on the pics...had to have my g/f take 'em and the damn pics came out fuzzy and dark. Gotta get a digital cam before I take my after pics. I'm thinking of doing them in a before/after bulking/after cutting scheme which will make it a total of approx. 16 weeks from start to finish.

Again, good luck & I'll be interested to see your progress.

First Update

This week's workout have been great, and I have been using the ph as recommended.
However, all of this week so far (Mon - Thurs), I have had terrible diarrhea and am moving my bowels 3-4 times per day, up from my usual one.
Is this due to the supps? I can't be certain, but that is the only change to my diet.
Of course, I may have gotten food poisoning from a restaurant, but when I have had food poisoning in the past, it has only lasted for 24 - 48 hours.
This is four days of liquid bowel movements, and I am getting concerned about dehydration. If it lasts through the weekend, I will need to take corrective action. I hope that I don't need to abandon this supp routine.

Update 2

Some fine tuning.
Halved my AM dose of Volumex and dropped my preworkout dose of Andro Infusion from 3 caps to 2.
I also ate a banana, for its famed "binding" qualities.

Quality of life much better today. Back to only moving bowels once a day, as opposed to the 6 times it happened yesterday. Either the dosages were just too high for my empty stomach, or I need to ramp up over time. I'll be upping the dosages back to recommended levels after a while, to give my body time to adjust.

Leg day - Good workout. Still adjusting to the 4-day split routine.I need to rationmy energy differently than when I was training whole body every day I was in the gym.

Turns out the issue was with the 5mg of Volumex on an empty stomach in the AM - I just can't take it. Halved my morning dose of Volumex to 2.5 grams, and the rest of the prohormones I'm taking according to recommended dosages.

I'm loving the 4-day training split. My poundages are going up with each workout, and it feels great to really be able to blast each bodypart by specialising.

I just reviewed my workout notes and see that I've gained about 12 pounds in the last two months. I just looked at some pictures taken of me at my company picnic last week, and I can see the gut I'm getting. But I can diet that away after I pack some more mass onto my arms, pecs, etc.

So you sorted out your bowel probs? Rather than cutting back on your PH dosages, I would've suggested supplementing with some good quality fiber to "firm up" which would really help with that problem. Look for psyllium husk, by YerbaPrima for example. I haven't experienced this problematic poop with my cycle, but we're all different.

If you really wanna see some results you've got to be agressive with the prohormones. Follow the recommended cycle by MQ at the least. I'm now on my week #4 (MQ's week #5) and am still going up on nearly all exercises and it feels fantastic. I'm getting better pumps because of it. I've had about 3 or 4 niacin flushes since I started the agressive supplementation last week, but they go away in 20-30 mins.

Like you, I've gained nearly 20 lbs in the last 2 months, and approximately 13 lbs since I started this PH cycle 3 1/2 weeks ago. I don't attribute ALL this gain to the PH as a good 3-5 lbs is H2O from creatine, though I started with the creatine about a week before the PH. Regardless, I've been pleased with the results so far and my goal is to gain another 12-15 lbs in the next 8 weeks. That's very ambitious, but if I can keep gaining like I have over the last 8 weeks, then it's possible. I'll then move to cutting and figure to drop 5+ lbs depending on how much of what I'm carrying is water weight.

I assume you're not referring to me? :)

This isn't bad advice (to first work on gaining w/out any PH), but considering he's already into a PH cycle I think he might as well continue so long as it's agressive dosages. Non-agressive will basically be wasting your time and money. His gains likely won't be as good as if he had already worked on some "natural" gains and lowered bf %, but how do you come to the conclusion that he's "killing your potential"?
