Progress Pics 3 - 1 year of training

Well I'm about to wrap up about a year of training now

Well First Pic is about a few months after I started - 180lbs

2nd pics a 2-3 months later 192lbs

3rd pic was around November 16th last year - another 2-3months later 192lbs - just leaner

Last pic is today - 3months later - 202lbs yes I'm fatter - but there is some 5 or so lbs of extra muscle in there somewhere.
Interesting thing is I can jump an inch higher between pic 3 and 4 :D

I'm also 5'9" and natural. I
m not training for bodybuilding, mainly strength, power and speed, but yet the size is coming.

Can't wait to lean up.....!

First pics is when I was 192 - 2nd today 202lbs - yes fatter :)

I'd like to hit 22O first before I lean out, but without getting any fatter, I don't think I can get much fatter, I've been eating chocolate bars and tons of junk food every day to get to this level :)

Don't kid yourself. I have been able to watch my gut grow and shrink depending on how I eat and workout. I currently am taking in 4000 cals a day, and keeping the same "little" gut I have, but gaining like a pound a week or so. I need to eat more......

If you want to get fatter, you can.:D

So where is the after picture??? LOL No.. seriously... put on about 10 more lbs and you'll make a good before pic... LOL no really... :) This could go on all day.

Great progress... who cares about lean!?!? :)

The only area that hasn't grown much is my chest, but I haven't really been working it much, not benching heavy at all, just some dips, but I stay fairly upright on these.
 
Good progress bro, taking pics as you go like that is a great idea as it is hard to see your progress day to day

shit, that is good!! And it is really cool to see your transformation. i think i shall start photographing myself every couple months.
 
Damn CCJ, nice progress since the start. I can't even see much difference between 192 and 202 but I'm sure it's there. From the first set when you started working out 'till now... damn! You have much bigger arms, your back exploded, calves are really meaty now...

That's some good eatin'. :p

Keep it up man, then get lean and be sexy for the rest of your days.
 
great job man....i like how you consistently took the same angle photos and how they are head to toe and everything....I always try to take mine with the same light, etc. so you can really scrutinize and compare.....photo journals are great tools.
 
Nice work C. I am proud of you and your progess. Keep going and never give up. Just look at how far you have gone and it's only the beginning. Can you imagine what it will look like when you're 240?
 
Pretty good progress bro. Your lower body is overpowering your upper, which some guys dream of. Keep it up.
 
Thanks for the compliments. Well I'm gonna tighten up the diet a bit and cut out my chocoholic temptations :D

Well the thing is between the first and 2nd pic, we are talking differences of literally inches! Off course its gonna slap ya in the face ;) I still made good gains later on, but in fraction of inches, so its not as obvious but they are there. Mostly in the triceps and legs between 3-4. My glutes and hmastrings blew up as well which you can't see - the Seat of Power. But I'll start talking side legs shots next. This was about the time I was squatting and dipping a lot too, so that's why :)

I love my chocolate :p
My bodyfat levels have more or less stablised now, extra muscle sure helps.

Well that's my natural body proportions - big legs, smaller upper body - plus I love to squat... damn I love it!
 
Just think, if in a years time one can grow so much...

Were you a beginner a year ago, CCJ?

Also, did you have your diet in place from the get-go?

Basicly I eat every 2-3 hours, don't really pay much attention to what. I also have 2-3 servings of Whey a day. One upon waking, one before training, one after, and sometimes one before bed
 
Yes, showing some progress but considering some of his statements and how he has sometimes boasted his "physique" I'm going to be the first to say I'm not impressed. Like in the Melvin Anthony squat thread CoolcolJ said that his quads are bigger and better than a lot of body builders. Well, not to rain on anyone's parade but who is he kidding?:D
 
nice job man! thats some nice progress. i cant wait till i get back into serious training. i need some progress like yours.

I didn't say that - I said my legs were better than a lot of people who use "bodybuilding" methods to train their legs. I hardly ever go above 4 reps on squats awith long rest periods, and managed to pack on a good 3.75inches on them in the above pics from start to finish. Actually "better" is not the right word, gained more size is what I meant to say :)

Off course mine would look better if I had single digit bodyfat, but I don't train just for looks and I always wear long shorts, so it's a moot point :)

You must be crazy if you think I'm comparing myself to pro bodybuilders.

Joker is right bro, you can get one helluva lot fatter than you are right now, especially if you're genetically prone to it. You're progress looks good, steady, especially the lats. Keep up the work in the gym and focus on your diet more. It will make a huge difference.
