I consume 80% of my carbs during and after my workout. Insulin is an amazingly anabolic hormone and does wonders around your workout. I mostly eat stir fry sand the rice...but I look ok...
By consuming the carbs during do you mean pre-workout or do you actually take a shake and drink between sets? If i did that i would be sure to get sick lol
